Re: Fireworks Shows Cancelled- Guest reactions

You guys think that Disney would have another cancellation speil that just says "due to technical difficulties" or something just in case the winds are ok but something is wrong with the firework launchers that they can't do the show?

I mean, it could happen one day.

Re: Fireworks Shows Cancelled- Guest reactions

As an out-of-towner: I can say that it is a total bummer when you miss out on the fireworks.

For my first trip ever to Disneyland, we did a one day visit and hoped to see RDCT. That one day, they had the Quinceanera event in which the whole castle area was blocked off with a red carpet, a full stage, and lighted set for television. The entire hub was closed as well, making park traffic a nightmare. It was so heartbreaking to get there only to find out that we would not be getting our fireworks display that night.

It's a weird feeling because I was upset that the experience of all guests that day was compromised because they were having this big private special event during park hours. Yet, you also have to understand that Disney is in the business of creating special experiences and, sometimes, that means changing their normal routine.

Worst part is: now that they have created Magical and are bringing that back this year, I have yet to see that beautiful fireworks show! It's hard for me to get out there at other times of the year other than Spring Break/summer with my schedule.

So, I can totally sympathize with people's disappointment over fireworks cancellations or when you think you're in for a certain experience and there's an unexpected change of plans. However, I agree that it's nothing to get hot under the collar about. You just have to find other ways to up the magic on your day.

One time in June 2007 I heard some kid yell "DEATH TO DISNEY!!"

    It was umm... interesting.

    very good piece of advice
Especially during the Christmas season when your not sure
if the show will go due to it usually being breezy.

To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.

Always do the parade the last day. With multiple showings, you know you can't go wrong.
