Sounds kinda like Main Street's loop. Not QUITE what I'd put in my mind when thinking of Coney Island or a boardwalk, but there you go.

    I approve! I love it :]
All this has happened before, and it will all happen again. But this time it happened in London. It happened on a quiet street in Bloomsbury. That corner house over there is the home of the Darling family. And Peter Pan chose this particular house because there were people here who believed in him.

Excellent. A thousand times improvement. Now the place finally sounds like a legitimate Disney Park.

I absolutely LOVED the old Pier Music, and I savor to own the complete audio track (most especially the Beach Boys 'I Get Around' cover).

This is for the better, but I will greatly miss overlooking the Pier and California Screamin' listening to California Girls , I Get Around, and all the other songs.

too "Mainstreet" for me. If I want to hear turn of the century tunes, I'll head across to DL.

That's what I am very much thinking as well. Also once the stores and everything else gets finished... It will sneak its way in over into the actual Pier.

    Interesting.

This is much more period specific, though it would be nice to hear a more upbeat clip (I think of summer time as home to upbeat music). It will probably be really nice at nighttime.

Though...the old Paradise Pier music had finally started to grow on me...

This was my initial impression as well.

In the strictest sense, Ragtime is a different genre than the "Turn of the Century" standards we hear on Main Street. However, the two styles are not separated by very many years, which is why they do sound similar.

A part of me wishes the Imagineers were able to find some other type of background music for Paradise Pier that doesn't sound like what we already have on Main Street. But seeing that both locations are quasi-Victorian, they really didn't have many options.

Nothing can never sound too "Mainstreet"/Disneylandish for me. I like it.

I'll miss the old music, but this doesn't sound half bad. I actually like it.
The music reminds me of Tower of terror and Sunset BLVD at Disney's Hollywood Studios not Paradise Park. I like the old music better sounds like a boardwalk and fun place to be rather this this music.

    Love the new music.

This is only for Paradise Park then? I think this is the first time the PoM speakers are being used.

To those who want more upbeat music, let's wait until they change the music loop for the actual boardwalk. What we're listening to here is the Paradise Park area (a public park at the turn of the century). They might have something different in store for the pier. Just a guess.

This particular song is SO much jazzier than anything you hear on Main Street! It has "soul", whereas Main Street has "happy". I don't think they're at all similar.
