Talking World of Color: The fireworks or Fantasmic! of DCA?

I have heard people call WoC the fireworks of DCA, and others call it the Fantasmic!, but which one is it truly? The spectacular display of lights, or the show told with music and effects?

I think it will be easier to judge once the show is in progress.

    I don't think it's really either one.

I call it the Fantasmic! of DCA. Sure that it's just water, fire, mist and lasers, but WOC will be as spectacular as Fantasmic! and it's a better alternative to a firework show in DCA.

I feel like it has the same heart as Fantasmic!, just presented in a different way. Sorta like how Tarzan and Kala both have the same heart but different appearances. Maybe that's a bad analogy but I've been really into Tarzan lately!

Of course, I could be completely wrong considering we haven't really seen the show yet. It could feel completely different once you're in the viewing area and the lights go down.

very different from Fantasmic, and it's definitely not a fireworks show.

World of color is just, World of Color.

You beat me to it, and couldn't of said it any better; however, I am still not on a permanent opinion, I still plan to wait to experience it before making my judgments about it.

Is there an option for too early to tell?

I mean, I know that there is a video for the full run-through testing, but this show is still a couple of months away from premiering and now we want to decide that this is either the Fantasmic! or fireworks of DCA?

Slow down, everyone. Let's just wait for the premiere, and then we can decide.

Well, seeing as I haven't seen it I'm not exactly sure but...

I would say probably both...and more.

There are fire effect in WoC, BUT who would call it "fireworks?"

WoC is it's own show, however comparrisons to F! will be inevitable, both prominently feature projections on water. Granted, WoC has a much larger fountain stage area, however WoC other effects and infastructure are much more limited. And I believe with the limited type of show the WoC is, it will not appeal to as broad and audience. Lot's of people give Water fountain shows a thumbs down, on their priority list. However F! gives guests a live action on Columbia and Mark Twain, and a variety of characters on the island and on the rafts, as well as a fire breathing dragon. WoC only has Water and Fire.

What is your source? That sounds made up to me.

I think World of Color is more based on Illuminations at Epcot but mixes the story telling of Fantasmic in there as well

Talking and chatting with people. Why are you so argumentative about it?

And what's so difficult to believe about that? Some people said they prefer Rides, rather than shows. Some here have even said they found Bellagio boring. Face it, not every type of entertainment is everyone's cup of tea.

That's why it's important for DL to offer a wide variety of entertainment. World of Color fan's will be found. The number of fans, no one will know until the show is running.

If your asking for a guess, I'm willing to guess that it will receive a much better reception than Luminaria. But no one will know until guests see the full and complete show in the viewing are. But, without actually performers in WoC, F! will be seen as a better, more well rounded show, and it even has more of defined storyline.

How about we don't judge the show until we actually see it in person?

Nothing wrong with judging what has been seen and heard so far.

Who knows, MAYBE some posting here did see the show from the viewing area, near the other VIP's. You just never know.

Regardless, there is PLENTY that you can see and hear from the video. Put that together with what Steve Davison has already said, and you should have a pretty good idea on what this show is all about, and if you're inclined to like the show or not.
