It's really sad that I didn't get to ride this. The only time that I saw this ride is from the video from themeparkreview.

I thought I remember making a joke about the Millionaire consoles being raided to give the Ellen audience its voting capabilites, but someone responded that Millionaire is still intact. If that's so, I'd like to see them re-open the show during peak periods during the 50th, featuring questions pertaining to 50
Years of Disneyland. But I haven't read anything about TDA's future plans.

Now THAT would be interesting, original, and fit the theme of the land perfectly. So, of course, it'll never happen.
JIm Hill did an excellent article about how the original concept for superstar limo was supposed to be a paparazzi chase, but because of the Princess Di tradgedy happening so near the timing of development and opening it would have been un-PC to have done it at that time so what was intended to be a madcap Toad like ride became the caracature fiasco SSL ended up as. I loved riding SSL because it was so tacky.

Gotta say, a paparazzi chase doesn't sound a whole lot less tacky. Part of why I hated SSL was the paparazzi theme. Making it faster wouldn't change that. It's still making light of one of the most unattractive elements of "the biz." Yeah, paparazzi fits the theme of Hollywood Backlot, but rampant racism/xenophobia would fit the theme of Main Street, you don't exactly see "NINA" signs hanging in the shop windows.

He's very good at substantiating his information with sources and documentation, a lot better than many of the "Armchair Walts" who profess to know "What Walt Would Have Done" without having even met the man. Agree with him or not, he sure knows how to do his research.

Well, the buzz from Marcy on the other MiceInfo that is it's fate belongs with Creative Entertainment... (So it is up do Steven Davidson)

Apparently WWTBAM is designated as a "show based" attraction... Of course it is right next to a Film Based attraction? Makes no sense to me when you have Aladdin and Playhouse Disney so close by too...

I didn't know that departments had "dibs" on DCA buildings - Sounds like DCA needs to get redistricted.... Back to parking....

Oh, one more thing, since Creative Entertainment spent most of its budget on Parade of Dreams, Remember, and Block Party... I don't expect to see something go there for a while...

This would be pretty hard to do, since the Millionaire building is pretty much gutted right now, and little of the show remains. As for the future, the building will house another show (it will not be removed), but the theme has yet to be determined.
Trivia: On April Fool's Day 2004, Disneyland guests found -- at the insistence of the board of directors -- the gigantic dragon featured in Fantasmic replaced with a gigantic Roy Disney (leading to a reprimand to the cast member playing Mickey Mouse when he hugged the giant instead of fighting it)

Yeah, it seems a little silly that DCA would have a zoning board. I mean, really, they have to know how often shows need to be replaced. Anyone remember Tomorrowland?

Looking at WDW... Besides Philharmagic, most of their shows are in trouble. MGM seems to have realized it needs a few E tickets to balance out all the shows it has. AK only has the one show that I know of. And Epcot... well, everyone always says how badly Epcot does, and it's almost entirely shows and C or D tickets.

I just don't see needing more than one show per land.

That's an inherent problem with Hollywood Backlot. By its very theme, it's going to be a show-heavy area.
