Do you hold onto the ride vehicle bars?

On IJA, I normally don't hold on to the bars because I think it's more exciting to be thrown around a little bit. My friends, however, think that holding onto the bars makes the ride feel more immersive in the sense they are on a real adventure and in real danger. Am I the only one, or are there others that don't hold on??

Another similar question, do you hold onto the bars on Splash Mountain, ToT, etc.?

I try not to on any ride, unless I have hand sanitizer with me.

Is there a reason you left "hold" out of the thread title?

I've done it both ways. I think most of the time I hold on to the bars, but if I'm sitting on either side on the back row where you move around more, I find it fun to not hold on and just be tossed around the whole ride, definately more thrilling that way.

I usually try not to hold on, but always on Splash! Haha

I try to convince myself that I won't hold on, and then it comes time right before the drop, I chicken out and grab on as tight as I can onto the handles!

I used to on Space Mountain, before I realized that the lap eventually locked into place Of course I was only 7 at the time, but it made the ride even more uncomfortable and scary thinking that if I let go of the ride bar in front of me, I would fall out.

Only on the Matterhorn. It's either that or get slammed into the sides of the sled. Or worse get slammed into the bars themselves which can really hurt.

I always have hand sanitizer on me so it's not a big deal.

I hold on like my life depends on it! My daughter, does not. In fact, when we ride Big Thunder together, she is usually fused to my side in the sharp turns. She also has her arms in the air during take off on every airline flight...crazy kid!

Depends on which ride it is; I refuse to use hang onto the bars on Indy (the ones in front of you, above the storage pouch) after holding onto a sticky one a long time ago!

Most of the time, I don't hold onto anything unless I'm on Mulholland Madness or in the driver seat on IJA. I like thinking I'm actually driving the jeep
