The dlr best scene tournament - pirates of the caribbean

The final ride in the tournament is here and it's considered by most the heart and soul of the park. Walt's last hurrah on ride design is found here by a crew of pirates after treasure and recently, Jack Sparrow. The attraction includes hundreds of audio-animatronics ahead of it's time, special effects, complete scenes of dialogue and Disneyland's most memorable medley of all time. Spawning 3 films and a new one out for 2011, the films themselves have created of world of magic that has been crafted into the ride itself, whether or not it was done well is the question. There's so many enjoyable characters and moments here, it would be hard to just pick one. Still a popular attraction, still a timeless classic and still the most awe inspiring attraction in the park, Pirates of the Caribbean will live on - forever.

although most of the scenes leading up to it are reaaaaally beautiful, the battleship scene is so big and awesome that it fills me with wonder. the gags and whatnot are still great and the artistry everywhere else is lovely, but in teh battleship scene its like the sky opens up and you are in this battle and dont know which way to look or who to root for. its amazing.

I'd like it a bit more if the canons matched the water exploding, haha.

Interesting how Blue Bayou is in second place and it's only the beginning of the ride with 0 pirates!

My favorite are the Blue Bayou and the Bombarding the Fort scenes.

BLue Bayou does such a great job taking you to another place and time. The environment is incredible and it is what Disney theme parks are really all about.

And the Fort scene, where else in the world can you be in the middle of a pirate vs. fort battle. It is incredible to emerge from the cave and enter a whole new world. I would love it even more if Barbossa would get replaced by the original Paul Frees's Blackbeard character. His voice is perfect and Barbossa feels too pushed in, while Blackbeard felt normal there.

The two drops and skeleton caves have atmosphere, great sound design and music, and skeletons..what more could I want?

This edges out the swamp/opening and big town on fire scene by just a hair.
when the spooks have a midnight jamboree....

This! I look forward to the Blue Bayou scene more than anything else.... I wish I could make my basement into Blue Bayou and just sit and relax in that environment with the simulated sky and sounds of the bayou. Love it.

0 love for the pirates being chased. Would this be because of the original version has been changed to suit uptight people on the theme of PIRATES? haha

..gotta go with the battle scene....my personal favorite anyway. The ride as a whole is my favorite, so I would pick all of them if I could.
