I finally got some photos from our DL trip last week. My brother took these.

It's actually a very good shot of our dear Datameister, and not the worst snap of me that I've ever seen either. Nice job, Dave.

I'm doing a little catching up — and agree with Caitlin. You both look FANTASTIC! (And I mean that in a straight, old manly ghost way.) You don't know how badly I wanted to be there, but things changed at the last minute. And that shot of The Mansion's exterior is STUNNING. It would make a great desktop wallpaper at 1024 x 768. (Hint, hint, hint!!!)

At Disneyland. As far as I know, all the tombstones at WDW are intact, but the ones on the berm at Disneyland (not the pet cemeteries in front or around the right side) were removed in...the early 2000s, I think? For HMH? Dan, help me out with the timeline here.

I could've sworn that I saw them last Halloween, mixed in with the Funkins.

Another aside:

Does anyone know where I can pick up that (looks like) mahogany pedestal/stand/column that the attic wedding cake sits on top of? (Besides the attic.)

You have got to be kidding... I giggled at them the first time I saw them.

No I'm not. My first memory of them was me crying after one popped up on me and I didn't realize that it was coming.

I couldn't hear them at the time (I have always had a hearing problem but I was worse as a kid), of course I couldn't hear the heart beat either. I didn't know there was a heartbeat until a few years ago.

So yeah, I'm glad they are gone.

HAHAHA. I was there that day. We walked by him twice. He looked like an aging rockstar and none of us recognized him at first. He was wearing a hat, too, which sort of disguised him effectively.

Wow, that must have been quite traumatic. Me, I was 15 at the time, and I could hear them already just past the seance, so I knew something was coming up.

So now I'm puzzled; since that traumatic experience on your first visit to the Mansion, how come you're a fan now? I would think you wouldn't want anything to do with it.

Guest from what I could tell. He was with a plaid and a group when we saw him at first, then we passed him in the VIP section of the World of Color viewing area.

You say that, but as a kid I was deathly afraid of Phantom Manor, i'd get angry at my parents for suggesting it. Its amazing how you grow to love these things

Marquis's chair used to sit in the WDW Loading area next to a table, some books, and a lamp. I'm very disappointed that this setup was removed, I felt that It added a little pizazz to the room. Oh well...

I was about 6 when it happened. (I'm 26 now)

It took a good while to even get back onto the ride (try 2005) , but I'm such a sucker for horror, and ghost stories that I couldn't stay away forever. Plus learning about it made it... less intimidating.


Since Constance I have enjoyed it more, (I just have to look out for the ones in the graveyard now.)
