Those maquettes of three graveyard musicians went for $11,950.00. Wow, that's more than I make in a week! The two witch maquettes haven't been sold yet, but it looks like they're asking the same price now.

Those three musician maquettes sold as a set at auction for 12K (less $50). The two witches weren't bought, and still haven't found a buyer. They're asking/hoping for the same amount for the two-witch set as for the three-musician set, and they're in far worse shape. Are those people nuts? It will be interesting to see what they eventually go for.

Nice post. Makes you wonder what some of the HM figures would have looked like if they didn't recycle any heads.

I know this was discussed a few threads ago, but I have proof that the old George Washington portrait from Fort Wilderness IS in fact in the attic (or at least pre-Constance) in infaMOUSEproject's HM video:

    Yeehaw

I just bought a nice thing on eekbay for 11 bucks. A copy of X Atencio's final continuity script for the HM from May 13, 1969. It contains descriptions of the scenes and effects as well as the show script. That's going to be a fun read.

Yes indeed, this looks like the first tangible evidence that WDW began with the corpse bride, so this photo is a big deal for anyone interested in the bride history. Remember that our previous "WDW corpse bride" photo turned out to be DL, not WDW.

Yes, the holes in the floor for the stick-head popups are still there at DL, and the mechanisms are put back in for HMH, which has its own popups of a stylized cat, pumpkin, and skeleton coming out of big gift boxes.

I think HMF is right about chairs hanging around above floor level. I think they're just supposed to look disconcerting in the semi-darkness, like other attic junk. People do store stuff that way. (You should see my garage.) It saves space.
Here's the photo scanned from the original negative (which I own):

One more (for now) from the same batch of WDW HM Negs:

This photographer obviously did not heed the "no flash pictures" warning from the Ghost Host; poor Madame Leota is completely blown out.

Well, it looked like that birdcage on the far right side ended up migrating at some point between 1971 and 1996.
