Question: Is the "spiderweb" still located in the ballroom? We've been on the ride several times in the last few weeks and have yet to see it.
Peter Pan: "You know, your hair is on fire."
Me: "Yes. It happened after a recent trip to Neverland."
Peter Pan: "Well, you can dunk your head in the pond behind us, if you want."

It probably is because the only way to get rid of that bullet hole is to cut a hole in the show building, take out the glass, and replace it. I can't see them doing that for a hole in the glass so yes, I'd say it's still there. LOL

Actually, there's a spare stored inside, so they wouldn't have to tear the building open to replace it, but they figure there's no need to replace it, since the damage is minimal. The disguised bullet hole is still there; it's just not very easy to see, which in itself explains why they've just lived with it. Save the spare for a REAL smashup.

Yes - the spare glass is stored behind the fireplace wall.

Nice pix, Dave. During the first year or two in both US HM's, the coffins were heavily shrouded in cobwebs, much moreso than they are now.

Speaking of nice pix, you guys know about the traveling light effect, right? A light travels from window to window on the upper stories of both HMs. You can only see it at night. I've got a grand total of ONE photo of the DL traveling light. There are still photos and at least two videos of the WDW version. Too bad there isn't a video of the DL version.

    But wait a sec...

Take that back; it's been there on youtube for a long time, right under our noses. Check out 0033 to 0037 on this 1990 video:

New (to me) info regarding the WDW Attic. It appears that the 1996 Attic re-do was somewhat more extensive than I initially thought. It seems in the original WDW Attic All the pop-up ghosts popped out of some kind of trunk.

When the Attic was re-done in 1996 all the trunks were removed and the Pop-up Ghosts now dressed as Groomsmen just came out of holes in the ground like in the Graveyard Scene.

I can't believe it took me that long to notice that.
Also found this really detailed shot of part of the WDW Ambrose Tableau for potential future exploration.

Another factor in the "Kids or no Kids in the Mansion" argument has appeared in the Disneyland Mansion as what appears to be a dollhouse has been spotted in the Ambrose Tableau at Disneyland.

I always assumed that was how it was supposed to be. Remember this illustration?

Fascinating about the spare glass. That would be a nightmare to have custom-made.

For some reason, the coffin nails in the second picture of the two Dave posted have always been the creepiest part of that scene for mee.

That dollhouse photo is mine actually - I had never noticed it before, but a couple back to back rides and the doombuggies stopped at about three spots throughout the attic, so got fairly clear photos of that, the Frank area, and the piano-playing shadow (Hatbox?)

    Here are the others -

Also visible: Giant bass alert, just like in that old record illustration.

Which would seem to fall on the "no kids" side since a dollhouse gets moved up to the attic when outgrown by a kid.
