gumball rally 2011 okay so i think i read that there were group discounts at hojo for the gumball rally but i was just curious about how much that was this year and if it will be more or about the same next year and also if it will be the same time next year first part of may??? i want to know so i can start saving and plan to go next year it looks sooooooooooo fun

In my opinion you can never start planning a disney vacation too early...it helps to make sure everything is taken care. I know as soon as we get home from our annual christmas vacation I am on the phone getting ready for the next one.Originally Posted by asianbma

Well its true that you can never plan to far ahead but the team is still recovering from this years event! Will next years Gumball be held about the same time? Possibly but its way to early to tell!
But win, lose or whatever, its one of the best times you can have in the park!
We stayed at the HoJo's Friday night and it was $118 with the micechat discount. It was booked about two weeks prior to the event. Hope that helps a little.
Re: gumball ralley 2011 Next year's date might be problematical - because the first Saturday in May is May 7, and the next day is Mother's day.
On the other hand I might get to go to Bat's day if they keep it the first Sunday in May.
RSP87, you are taking your life in your hands, the staff is probably dead exhausted from this Rally and you're already asking about the next one? ; )

i wasnt trying to step on anyones feet asking about next year i just didnt know if it was the same dates every year partially because i will start having to plan vacation time from work long before the dates and i will have to save for a quite a bit of time too

The date for the Rally is chosen using a special formula: One part Pixie Dust, Two Parts Mickey Mouse Magic, and a healthy dose of Gumballs. The Event Staff will be out purchasing the supplies for the formula once they recover from the afterglow of a perfect event.
In terms of the event falling on the same weekend each year, the Rally has yet to be repeated on the same weekend. Once the date is set, it will be announced with lots of fanfare!
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

There are a LOT of factors that go into scheduling the Gumball Rally.
- Availability of HoJo
- Events going on at the parks (we try not to schedule events during cheer competitions, etc)
- Park rehab schedules
- Grand opening of new rides (opening of Little Mermaid as an example next year)
- Schedules of the people who run the rally
Right now it's still a little too early to start planning. We still have two more big events before next years Rally. Gay Days 2010 and MiceChat's 6th Anniversary in January.
