Arrow Your reaction to the talking Mickey

I, personally, think it's wonderful. Even if it's not perfect just yet, it's a big step up from the current standard.

I guess I like it, I'm just scared of two things:

    1. The characters will stop being so "animated" because they can talk. They still gotta move around like they do!!
    2. The talking could make it kinda awkward for teenage/adult encounters? Anyone else feel this way?

I predict some Uncontrollable Cursing to occur , say if someone kicks mickey or goofy in the knee the actor inside might not be able to control his/her natural reaction so we might get some pretty funny youtube videos of goofy or donald duck yelling the F word

Don't even tell me that as a kid none of you didn't wish that the characters could talk to you. This is literally a wish come true.

Hey when I was a kid I always wonder why Mickey or Goofy couldn't talk. Now here is one that just hit me. Do you think they will add a talking head to Pluto send he don't talk but he dose Bark just wonder what you guys would think about Pluto how would they do him if at all?

As far as I know, they haven't had any problems with face characters cursing. I don't see why it would be different with furries.

You know, initially, I thought this was so creepy but the more I hear about it and watch the videos, I'm warming up to it.

I don't see why these character would have any more trouble than the face characters that we already have around, so as long as the technology holds up, it seems like fun.

Actually there is a difference, talking costumes made by furries (done by a simple hinge that moves with the chin) do not have amplified microphones. So , in essence, either the CM has to watch their language, or there is something built-in that 'censors' the curse like, say, Mickey's laugh.

And am I the only one who is irritated by the use of the term 'furry' for any character that needs a mask? Captain Hook the Queen of hearts, and Buzz Lightyear aren't face characters...anyway , that's a whole different thread....

I prefer the silent characters. Just because they can add the latest tech doesn't mean they should.

I can also just picture the added wait time for kids in line when the character now has to actually have a conversation with each one.

Of course, even as a kid, I thought characters were ridiculous. I knew it was just a person in a furry suit, and not the "real" Mickey or Pooh. My son however likes them.
