Question Trying to Decide on a Park Visit Date

My wife and I will be going to Disneyland sometime soon, and we have 3 dates to choose from. So, I'm looking for input/suggestions/ advice on which is the best choice. Our options are:

    11/19
    12/3
    1/7.

We'd like to see all the Christmas stuff up, but we'd also like a relatively low attendance day. I know all these are Saturdays, and (especially with the 50th) all Saturdays are busy.

So, in terms of crowds, availability of rides, shows, etc., and just overall, which of these dates would you all recommend and why?

    Thanks!

Personally I would do the 12/3 date. All of the decorations will be up and hopefully it will be slightly lower attendance since it's in between the holidays. I don't know if the Christmas stuff will still be up on 1/7, but if that's not imporntant then that would be my second choice.

I would like to agree with Erik. The dates we know and love though are screwed up from the 50th. I would think that the 12/3 would be a little more crowded than the 1/7 date, but that can easily change. I do think that the decor will be down on the 7th, only becuase IASW is going down for the holiday removal.

    01/04/06 | 01/18/06 | it's a small world - Holiday Removal
    01/18/06 | 03/05/06 | Haunted Mansion Holiday Removal
So there is my two cents.

12/3 could be very crowded since that is the date of the Candlelight Procession. Check the local hotel availability- you will find most sold out. Bad sign if you don't like crowds.
I'd vote for 1/7. I think a few of the decorations might still be up (although I am not a local, so I haven't been there at that time in the last few years) and the crowds should be lower. Although, in the interest of full disclosure, I believe the LA County schools don't go back until the Monday following... not sure.

p.s. 11/19 has not been addressed yet. Also could be ridiculously crowded since it is the weekend preceeding Thanksgiving. Many schools give the whole Thanksgiving week off now. School open or closed really affects the attendance numbers at DL.

Possibly, but during that show, the queues wll be short.
How many guests will be watching the CP?

id say your wife should be your date for a visit to the park. I dont think she would be happy if you took someone else!

Thanks for your input, everyone. My wife really wants to see all the Christmas stuff (so do I, for that matter), so we've decided on 11/19. It will probably be crowded, but we won't have the CP and the Marie Osmond doll release to deal with. So, we'll take our chances.
