It's a terrible movie, but the final portion of 40 Pounds of Trouble was shot at Disneyland (inlcuding a lengthy chase through Nature's Wonderland). I took the mine train many times as a child and may have riden the burros as well (I may be confusing that with memories of Frontier Village in San Jose - sadly, long gone) I have wonderful memories of this part of Frontierland, so sad there is almost nothing left of it.

my best friend and i always go over thee to watch the fake fish that jump out of the water and see if we can find the real ones... we went there a day of so after all the rain had hit so cal and we were freaking out! we were so sad cause the fish weren't jumping anymore and tree pieces were everywhere... i really hope they get the fake jumping fish back... it's the little things that make disneyland so great!

I remeber Cascade peak but I forgot about that little boat. are they still running those? I dont think I've seen one on an the rivers in a while.

The Mike Fink Keelboats went to Yesterland. But who knows, maybe if things get busy during the 50th anniversary, they may dust them off..

We saw the bridge area Monday night, and it was really sad. All the trees are gone on the right-hand side - it's SO barren now. It was one of my fave areas of the park at night. :(

Does anyone know the exact year that Cascade Peak was removed? My memory is a little hazy on that.

(Someone remind me to note down, for future reference, the date that the last vestige of MTTNW, the trestle, was "removed.")

I have not rode the Mark Twain or Columbia since it was removed. I am too afriad to look and see what Presler did to what use to be my favorite spot in the park.

I hope his Gap sweater ends up strangling him!

One of them up and capsized one day... and was later sold by the Disney Co.
I doubt very much the other would ever return to the ROA.
