Yaye!
Haha -- it just occurred to me, instead of them taking those surveys, all they really need to do is just read this board!
I heartily agree. The more feedback you give, the better they can serve our needs and wants. They really do pay attention to the surveys and the comment cards.
My wife is Gluten Intolerant and Disney goes out of their way to serve those dietary needs. Even when she wants to eat something at one of the restaurants that we know is gluten free, we always let them know she is gluten intolerant and the chef will come to our table to discuss it with her. It is our belief that if we keep asking about these things, they will get better at doing it. If noone orders the special items they do, they will get rid of them.
They same goes for the surveys, if noone gives them honest answers about dissatisfaction, they won't improve.
Life is far too short for bland food!

Rewards for taking a survey will skew your results. If a company just gave you a coffee to touch a screen, your review is likely to be glossed. Survey takers know that.
I always "seek out" the survey people. First, as someone mentioned, this could be a frustrating job, so I try to be extra polite and smile. As many have said, giving feedback here or through online surveys, in the final analysis, could help. If you give a negative experience about dining for example, and enough people do things might change. However, if we don't like something, it's time to VOTE WITH OUR WALLETS!
Stockholder and Walt Disney Autograph holder!!
don't promise the guest anything for doing the survey, then the survey won't be affected. AFTER the guest has finished taking the survey, THEN give them an "Honorary Citizen" button or a fast pass for their group - something simple, along with a verbal "Thank You".
Just curious, . . . for those that have been pulled to the back office for the survey via computer, when you finished the survey, did anyone at least say "thanks" to you for participating? Or did you just leave, without a word being said to you? It would be a little odd to leave without someone "Thanks for your time!" and at least acknowledge you afterwards.

I don't think they are annoying at all... since a polite "no thank you" is enough to stop them if you don't want to provide feedback. However the Kodak employees (I won't call them CM's, since they didn't work for Disney) were very rude and would block your path to try and get a pic. SO glad they switched to PhotoPass and no pressure pics.
I like taking the surveys and am happy Disney seems to care what people think. Compliments and complaints are both equally as important.

I stopped a couple of years ago and they actually took my e-mail adress for a longer survey and now I mysteriously get an e-mail survey shortly after I go every 6 months which leads me to believe that Disney is stalking me! lol
One time (a year or so ago) I got surveyed at Disney's California Adventure by a CM that was so friendly I really enjoyed the experience - so much so that I went by Guest Relations on my way out and left a Cast Member Compliment.
Since then we have become friends (I get a hug every time I see her). Open yourself up to the experience - you actually have some input into what you like or don't like about what DLR is doing - and you might make a new friend.
Yes, I was thinking I'd get a sticker or something on my way out. But honestly, I coulda just walked right out the door cuz the lady inside wasn't paying attention to me. The guy who put me in there was bringing someone else in and he was super nice and thanking me a lot. But I asked the lady by the door, who was busy staring at her paper, if that was it and she said yeah thank you. I only even said something to her cuz it looked like she had a list in front of her so I didn't know if she wanted my name or anything...but nope.
I always stop if they ask whether it's the on the spot survey or can we send a survey to you via email. I think this paid off last year in either Sept. or Aug. when I was picked to do a special survey in the Park (and I know others on this board were also picked). We had to run around and do certain rides/shows and take pictures with a camera provided by them. Then we went back and turned in the camera and took a long survey on a computer in a room next to City Hall. It was fun and we got paid cash (can't remember the exact amount $50 or $75). I tucked that money away and used it toward my AP renewal in November.
