So is this site really ENCOURAGING people to blatantly break the photography rules that are set forth at the beginning of EVERY preview?

MiceChat never condones breaking any rules. Users do so, but the heart of MiceChat is to enjoy Disneyland while following the rules. This is true in any MC activity from the meets to the Gumball Rally. We are a board set on showing that fan boards can and should be respectful of the place we all love.
I'm sure this will be addressed more fully by the MC staff shortly, but being here since practically day one, I know my MC fairly well.![]()
It's a Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah...Tip for Today!
Good to know. Cuz Ive got a really nice 600 word(ish) review written. But photography has been prohibited every time I have seen the show, and I feel like I should respect that. I can post the review as soon as I can take pics.
Or I could post the review and add the pics in later... Would that count?

^Thats what I was thinking too. I already have a pretty lengthy review. If I can get pics, and add them will that count? I noticed there is a review already with 15 photos, but I don't think it's 250 words. And none of the photos are of the actual show.
They let us take pictures at the private party earlier this evening, so you can check out my review in the official review post.

That's not how I understand it. The way it was written said that the FIRST review with 15 photos would be the winner...

You are correct. There are two contests. One for first three reviews with photos and commentary. And the other for the three best photos. The photos will be selected by a group of MiceChat staff and members and the top ten will be voted on by all of the MiceChat members at the end of the month.
There are 6 total chanced to win (3 for the review contest, and 3 for the photo contest).
Wow! I didn't know there were 3 for each! So the total in prizes is $375 ($100x3 reviews and $25x3 photos)?
When will the winners be announced/notified?

Not to be rude, but I think it's unfair to choose who wins by how soon they post, unless I'm reading this wrong. I think it should be on the best reviews, with a deadline of July 1st or something.
ONE TWO THREE NOT ONLY YOU AND ME![]()
The first qualifying review gets $100 and the 2nd and 3rd qualifying reviews will each get $25.
The winning photo gets $100 and the 2nd and 3rd place will get $25
The review contest winners will be notified by the end of the weekend.
The photo contest winners will be selected and notified in early July after the poll closes.
That's why we have two contests. The whole point of the review contest was to try to get people to review the show and post here as quickly as possible so that those readers who aren't locals could see what the show is all about (as soon as possible).
The other contest (the best photo) is a contest that lasts all month. The 3 winners will be selected by poll at the end of the month, so lots more people will have a chance to win. There are 3 prizes for each of the 2 contests, 6 prizes in all.
I think that's pretty fair. We were able to reward those who were willing to take photos and review the show for us as early as possible AND we still created a contest for those who may not be able to see the show until later in the month. We may even have a prize for one lucky random reader who votes in the best picture poll at the end of the month. We love contests almost as much as we love our members and readers!!!
