What should replace Captain Eo once the tribute run ends?

As fun as it's been seeing Captain Eo again, we all know it can't last forever, and it'd be pretty weak to just stick HISTA back in there again. I thought it'd be fun to brainstorm fun ideas for replacements on here. Now, given that I'ma comic book geek, and Disney now owns Marvel, my first gut instinct is a 3D Iron Man short film... but I doubt it'd go over well with Disney purists, so my idea.. considering it's set for release in Dec. 2010, and featuring digital 3D effects and all the other bells and whistles: a Tron tie in for Tron:Legacy. What do you all think? Thumbs up? Thumbs down? Don't care? Better ideas?

Well it would be better than a Wall-E tie-in. Pixar has just worn out its welcome. I'm not sure if I would want to see a Tron tie-in since that Tron ride at Innoventions seems very likely. What I'd like to see is another completely original film with NO movie tie-ins whatsoever; just like EO was. Instead of using those clunky set they built for the production of EO from the mid-80's, maybe use completely digital effects for the set to film it. The setting could be some 3-D comedy about a guy who gets kidnapped by aliens and gets involved in some alien war or something like that. I would like to see the smoke and laser effects that were missing from Captian EO.

How about something themed to the upcoming John Carter of Mars? I also still love Meet the Robinsons and Wall-E as Tomorrowland tie-ins. I'd also be up for something original like an animatronic space alien review or something like that.

It often takes years for Disney to plan a new ride. None of us expect EO to be open more than a couple of years at most. So, what will go in there next? That's all that is being asked here. It has nothing to do with EO (which is just a short term marketing promotion).

I love EO, but when it has run its course, I'd like to know that something good will take its place and not that horrible Honey I Bored the Audience.

You bring a good point to the table Dusty. I haven't seen someone bring up a ride reference to John Carter yet. Maybe that's because not many know about it yet....
