Just Announced -Mickey’s Halloween Party at DL (Merged threads)

Mickey’s Trick-or-Treat Party has been renamed and will now take place at Disneyland instead of DCA. Disney Parks Blog announced the following details:

Mickey’s Halloween Party will debut at Disneyland park this Halloween season. The private, costumed trick-or-treat party that guests enjoyed at Disney’s California Adventure park and was formerly known as Mickey’s Trick-or-Treat Party has moved to Disneyland park. The new event has some new, really cool benefits:

    - Access to Disneyland park – With a ticket to Mickey’s Halloween Party, you’ll get access to nearly all the attractions Disneyland park has to offer—from the classic attractions in Fantasyland to the Halloween-themed attractions like Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and Haunted Mansion Holiday.

    - Earlier access – We’re starting the party early at Disneyland park at 4:00 p.m (we used to start 6 p.m. or even 7 p.m.).

    - Tons of treats – We’re adding even more trick-or-treat locations – more treats!
Exclusive access to Halloween Screams – Mickey’s Halloween Party guests will have exclusive access to one of the most popular fireworks spectaculars ever – Halloween Screams!

Mickey’s Halloween Party will be offered on Halloween night and every Tuesday and Friday in October. Annual Passholders can purchase tickets starting June 4, at . . .

No!!!!!! This is stooping down to WDW's level. Next thing you know they will now do a private Xmas party. This is just dlr trying to make an extra buck. Holiday offerings should come with park admission like they used to and not be charged separately.

I've thought about going to Mickey's Trick-or-Treat party the past couple of years, but we just couldn't justify the cost. Perhaps with the location switch and added benefits it might just be worth it.

I agree, not too happy about this. Does this mean Halloween Screams will only be playing for those who paid for party tickets?

    I noticed this too:
Get ready for ghostly encounters with phantom patrons on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™, and relive the horrific Halloween night in 1939 that has haunted the hotel ever since.
Tower of Terror Halloween is coming back!

I was wondering the same thing. I'm thinking that is what they mean by "exclusive access".

Yep, it means Halloween Screams will only be seen by people at the party and not regular guest, they will be shoved out of the park at 4pm, that is what "exclusive access" means.

Wow. We were considering a trip in October but may have to cancel, depending on how the above could be read. "Exclusive access to Halloween Screams"? If this is true then our multi-day trip will likely not happen, as this is one of the biggies we wanted to see. If Halloween Screams is still playing other nights, and "exclusive access" just means exclusive access on Tuesday and Friday, maybe we'll be okay. You would think they'd do the fireworks every night, right? By starting at 4pm, does this mean everyone not paying extra will be removed from the park? That's really early. I guess if DCA is open late maybe we can make it work by heading over there a couple nights and try to catch WOC, unless it's playing exclusively for those willing to pay more too...

Great. They make it available to all guests last year, now you have you pay for an extra ticket just to see it. really hoping this isn't true.

But on the nights there is no party, Halloween screams should play still.

They probably won't do the Halloween Party every night, maybe on the nights they don't have the party they will still do the special fireworks.

I think the party at WDW is awesome and think this is a good thing! Now we just need a parade for the party!

I wonder what the cost will be and yes a halloween parade would be great. Not a calvacade.

I would hope so but they are promoting "exclusive access". I'm thinking it will be like WDW at Christmas. They only do the Christmas parade and fireworks for their special additional cost ticketed Christmas party.

Re: Just Announced -Mickey’s Halloween Party at DL

Don't like this either. As huge as Halloween was last year, now they are going to limit the nights to show Halloween Screams too? Not smart. They should still show the fireworks on the nights with no party, but to have the usually very busy Fridays have no fireworks and close the park before 4pm? Wow.. That will be interesting... I don't understand why they moved the party just because of World of Color. Would have been a nice extra to show that at the party in DCA. But I bet this comes down to money. They will be able to charge a lot more for Disneyland with the fireworks and all. Sad...
