New SummerNightastic Fireworks - Magical - EDITED

Ok so now im home and not on my balckberry ill edit my post and clarify for all the NITPICKERS who do nothing but wanna pick everyone elses posts apart even when they arent fully complete as the post clearly stated.. why new people dont want to come to micechat could be beyond me but i digress...

soooo....Last night i was at DLR with my friends to see the first fantasmic shows and summernightastic fireworks. We had actaully gone thinking that the summernightastic fireworks started next week and we would catch the other fireworks as my friend went twice last week and they were cancelled both nights. When we arrived at the park to find that it was magical we were kinda disappointed but hoped that these fireworks would be better than last years ( yes i am told that they are the same show basically but to be honest i had shut out last years fireworks from my memory as they were so terrible).

We got out usual viewing spot just in front of Walts Statue and waited for the fireworks to start. In the understanding now that this is the same show as last year i actually feel IN MY OPINION that to me it was almost a completely different show as they used different shapes, colors and pyro than before. (different = no the same.. look it up in the dictionary)The use of different pyro, different shell shapes (hearts, flowers) and blues and whites and greens as well as it not being as over bearingly loud as last year added to the enjoyment of the show for me. It wasnt all the exploding boxxes and typical disney smiley faces. I loved the use of the spotlights just as i did last year and the finale was somewhat redone as it had more fireworks and more pyro than before ( we found out later that the laser and confetti effects werent working yet and would be up and running by next week!!) Overall this years show seemed to have less dead zones where nothing was happening and it greatly imroved upon last years show with the changes that were made. I didnt leave disappointed like i did last year.

What is you opinion??? My favourite fireworks are still the 50 anniversary ones and the halloween fireworks from last year. Ill probably change my mind when i got to WDW this year but hey for now thye are my favorite.

This will still fall behing my favourite 50th anniverary Believe fireworks and the halloween fireworks from last year but it was a good show. Did anyone else see them?? What did u all think??

Ps yes I know this is not too detailed but my bberry is being a punk and playing up! Ill edit it later!!
I'm glad to hear the new show is better than last year.

I also agree that the 50th (believe) was the best firework show that they have ever put on. It will be hard for them to top that show.

Did they go off at 9:25? I didn't hear a thing. Maybe they pulled most of the louder shells out, i.e. the shapes, stars, boxes, etc. Those might not even be in Magical, but I almost always here the finale from my house regardless.

Tonight I looked at my clock at 9:25 and didn't hear a thing.

The fireworks happened. They were the same as last years with the addition of a few castle area bursts. I don't see how they are infinitely better this time around considering its 95% of the same show it was last time.

I would very much like to have this review expounded upon.

Nothing described here sounds any different than last year. I expect a similar show, since it IS the same show, just reworked somewhat.

However, it sounds as if you felt that the show was dramatically improved, but I didn't read anything in the review that indicated any changes. I apologize if I've overlooked them.

To me, it appeared that there were more castle pyro involved. But the shells fired in the sky appear to have different colors and some I dont remember being used last year.

Still, I'm happy that this shows back for the summer.

They say the hearing is the first thing to go. Or is that memory? Hmmm... I can't seem to remember. Uh oh...

Re: New SummerNightastic Fireworks - Magical

I'm a bit perplexed too; I thought it was basically the same show?
A few tweaks or plusses are to be expected, but it's still Magical, with the same sequence and music and Dumbo flying and everything?
When I watched it last summer, I didn't totally love it but I enjoyed it a lot, especially the uniquely colored shells that made the pyro so colorful. (Seemed more colorful than RDCT, even though that's still my favorite.)

On another fireworks note, I was very glad I got to see RDCT on Sunday night before Magical returned. I had missed it a lot and not gotten to see it since last spring. I was disappointed that the Frontierland section was still missing though. Was it missing for the whole Remember run this year, or just this week due to preparations for Magical?

I didn't hear the first shell until 9:26, actually. You may have just been early. I feel like Magical is quieter than Remember, as well, and it's certainly shorter.

The Frontierland cut was made in it's 2009 run.

The finale was definitely reworked. There was more castle pyro and all blue, glittery shells instead of white, which makes me wonder if they'll alternate between all pink and blue finales.

Also, I didn't notice any castle spotlights from where I was and there was no trace of confetti on the ground when exiting the park. Were they both cut?
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
