Electrical Parade coming back later this year

Around 3:15 the guy says that in 10 weeks they will start shipping the parade back to California. So it could be here for the holidays.

Interesting video. It was fun to play "recognize the castmember in the back ground". LOL. That said... Should be interesting if it actually goes back after "ten weeks and one day" as Mark stated. They have said all alone that it was only here for the summer, but I still suspect that "due to guest demand" WDW will keep this parade for longer then the current summer promotion.

I was dissapointed that the Drum will read "Disney's Electrical Parade", and not Main Street Electrical Parade. So I suspect that is why they called it Electrial parade. I guess I do have to admit, I have always found it odd watching the "Main Street" Electrical Parade in WDW's Frontierland or DL's Fantasyland/Small World mall. So maybe "Disney's Electrical Parade" is the more accurate name, but the purist in me wants to hear "Main Street".

Oh well, not a big deal really.

That's cool if they already have plans to ship the parade back to California. But does not mean they will run it again any time soon. It could be their back up plan in case World Of Color bombs..

I don't even begin to understand why this parade is so beloved.. for it's time, yeah, it was neat.. but by modern standards I just don't see the appeal.

Why does the parade have to be shuffled back and forth like this? It seems ridiculous. Every Main Street should have its own MSEP. It should be as intrinsic as the pavement and shops. Why is this not the case? It has to be, bar none, the least expensive parade to create. Yet with the highest yield in guest happiness.

My 3 year old has seen the Electrical Parade twice in her little life and she LOVES it...it's by far her favorite thing at Disneyland...we took her on the last evening just to make sure she wasn't stuck reliving her experience on YouTube for the foreseeable future. Anywhoos, she re-enacts this parade EVERY night for us right before bath time...she operates about 5 to 10 shows a night

So, I definitely disagree that the parade has no appeal by today's standards - she's a new generation of little humans that seem to think it's the greatest thing they've ever seen.

So, back to post, I thought it was at WDW for at least 3 years? What changed? Is this confirmed anywhere?

I think I'm a bit too invested in the whole DLR vs WDW thing... when watching that video, it continually bothered me that he kept saying "we added this" and "we added that". No you didn't, the fine folks at the DLR worked long and hard on those upgrades, so you better return them in good condition!
