    A Modest Proposal

With WOC about to premier and the big Disney promotional machine about to crank into full tilt mode for Summer Nightastic, got to thinking we could really make the Disney Resort (copyright 2005 all rights reserved) night.... even more astic.

As Lucy said about the artificial Christmas tree she wanted Charlie Brown to buy instead of the little real one, let's make it Super Colossal Spectacular.

    - At Summer's dusk at DL and DCA, all rides and human based entertainment cease operating.
    - Cast Members until closing are limited to crowd control, security and food and trinket hawkers.
    - Both parks transform in nothing but Medium to Big Automated Shows.

Here's where I need your input - how to structure beyond WOC and Fantasmic. Thinking land/Main Street based shows at DL, area themed at DCA (well, sort of on the latter). Several per night in each area, depending on size, area size, etc.

Example: Rockin' Mary Poppins!! on Main Street, three times nightly. A giant holographic/CG/however they do them Mary rises from a new, realistic looking manhole cover, center street. With lasers, fog and what all, Mary shimmies and shakes to the hot tunes of each decade 50s - present, in period dress and look. Mary in a poodle skirt and beehive hairdo. Hippie Mary. Disco Mary in a polyester miniskirt - and check out those legs! Who knew!

I solicit your opinions, and stand ready for more one star thread ratings, which I seem to gather like a bad Mickey Vinylmation collection.

Of course this would have to be a separate ticket event.

This. Park runs out of turkey legs and churros, this may be the next step....

Also, what about the giant animatronic Davy Crockett looming over Big Thunder at night, for a campfire singalong? Light the river up with the Fantasmic! infrastructure, and have him sing Tim McGraw and Reba songs.....*shudder*

the first time I read this I was absolutely pissed.

the second time I read it I couldn't stop laughing.

I agree it needs to be a seperate ticketed event. Plus, there needs to be priority seating with mary poppins themed dessert boxes.
