Silly Symphony Swings. What did any of you think of the ride?

I just went on it today and enjoyed it a LOT. Since it's just new you could still smell the fresh paint. Since it's just a swing ride I really don't have a whole lot to review about; but the bottom line is that it is much better than the Orange Stinger. I got to ride it twice. Once by myself and the second with my five-year old sister. The first time I rode was on the outside of the swings; let me tell you it was quite exhilarating and it made the experience a lot faster and "jumpier." The second time I rode it was in the double-seater with my sister in the inside. It was okay, but nowhere near exhilarating as the outside seats. The only thing that disappointed me was that the swings did not completely go over the water. I did go somewhat over the fence while sitting on the edge, but not over the water. Bottom line: If you want the most exhilarating experience possible, sit in the front. My only huge gripe is that there was no Cannibal Corpse blasting during the ride like I was hoping for.

Silly Symphony Swings is now open!

I thought it was great, definitely looks a lot better than the Orange. Overall I really enjoyed it.

It was fine ... we went on it a few times over the past few days.

My only complaint is that the CMs do not seem to do a very good job of counting how many people they should allow out to find seats because it always seems like people are scrambling to find a seat.

Several times, I have seen adults having to sit in one of the tandem seats as a result.

Does it have any special effects or is it just your standard swings ride?

There is one effect where the swings detach from the base and land into the water; in order to exit you have to swim your way back.

Other than that, no other special effects.

I'm just happy that weird looking orange thing is gone. I never understood an orange peel had to do with California piers anyway! Ride looks a really traditional attraction, but one that looks like Disney actually built it!

I enjoyed the ride. I went on it 4 times on Monday. It just shows that Disney can take a ride that has been done many times before and theme it to make it an enjoyable experience.

I have heard that there is going to be some lightening effects and a rotation of music. Even though I would love to hear the William Tell Overture each time. I am fully impressed with the ride and can't wait until the offical opening. From what I noticed people of all ages had a smile on their face while riding it.

I rode it on Thursday. I loved it! And it was so empty because all the TDA people were standing in front of it, so everyone thought it was closed. A walk-on both times! Definitely worth the wait! Better than Orange Stinger by a long shot. A little short, though.

I can't wait to try this. The Orange Stinger was so lackluster.

    -"Okay, now everybody scream!"
    -"Ahhh!"

I'm glad they classed it up.

I've just seen photos, though I'm sure I'll get a chance to experience it in person before too long. Based on what I've seen, I'd say it looks pretty good, for what it is. And I'm sure it'll be a more exhilarating experience than the Orange Stinger, what with it not being enclosed and all.

I think that it was just giving a nod to Orange County, but the theming is so terrible throughout the place it is hard to tell, and due to this I also could be wrong.
