Re: World of Color Reviews and Photos - (OFFICIAL THREAD)

To add to the planter fountain debate...

    Spoiler
It's been confirmed that they start being used during the Stampede (to simulate the wildebeest attacking the viewing area) and that they continue to be used until the show's finale

... but this could have changed since the last couple of reviews.

EDIT: Because the video is removed, I guess Disney doesn't want us to make judgements quite yet... so I removed my comment as well...

i haven't seen WoC yet, but in the disney parks blog comments section for heather's post "world of color viewing tips" she noted...

"All viewing areas are accessible to wheelchairs, and an effort will be made to accommodate wheelchair guests in Parade Park (the reserved viewing area) where their view will not be obstructed. All viewing in Paradise Park is standing only, but as always, our cast members will do what they can to assist guests with physical limitations while in the reserved viewing area."

No, the rumor is they will extend DCA's hours till 11pm due to demand and have the show at 11:30. The rest of the park will close at 11, about the same time they start letting people back into the viewing area for that show.

I have a question, it says you'll have to wait hours to see the show but what if you have a fastpass? Can't you just show up 30 mins from show time and go since you got a fastpass?

Me too, i don't seem to understand this fastpass system for WOC. Isn't the fastpass system suppose to limit the number of crowds prior and after the showtimes (9:00 & 10:15)

Fastpass works where there is a line, and those guests without them wait until those with them get in. When there is essentially just a huge number of people waiting to get into a generally unregulated space, FP does little good. If you have one and want to get your choice of viewing location (the flaw in shows and parades - attractions give EVERY guest the "best" location), you'll have to still get to the "pre-show staging area" before others with Fastpass.

So either way, if you want to get a premium spot in the WOC viewing area, you'll have to get there early and wait longer.

I think it's more like a ticket to the viewing area, and whilst you may think that early access to a viewing area is lame, you'll be happy you HAVE a spot rather than fending for your life on the not-prime-viewing boardwalk...!

Will the rides be opening and closing on Paradise Pier or will they just stay closed after 9 PM?
