No, its just typical park to park competition. They really dont mean it. All the parks make fun of one another its just natural. if they really ahted each other, would they have the socal pass thing that has Universal, Disneyland, and Seaworld?
I think they all make fun of each other every once in a while.
I was passing by the Golden Horseshoe one day and the street show thing was going on. One cowboy greeted another by saying something to the effect of, "What up, yo?" The other cowboy says, "Where'd you learn to talk like that?" Cowboy #1 responds, "Six Flags."
I remember I heard Six Flags making fun of themselves one visit. It was before the park was opening and an employee was asking if everyone was ready to have fun. The crowd was less than enthusiastic, so she was like, "Oh that's right, fun is about 40 minutes south!"
The only example I can even think of where Universal is making fun of Disney intentionally, was a quote from a presentation for a proposed Universal park in Europe that I read about in a book. The presenter said "We're gonna kick Disney's butt in Europe". Surely they didn't mean any harm but it did sound immature.
I also do recall an ad campaign for Universal Orlando where a little girl says "If I hug one more princess I'm gonna puke". Then again I'm pretty sure it's nothing more than a simple tease.
I like how Knott's picks at other parks. I remember watching the cowboy stunt show, and the sheriff said to the bandit...
"Now I'm gonna send you to where all criminals go to!" and the bandit said "Prison?"
"No! Six Flags!"
