Also the entire HP project is around $250 mil for the whole thing, RRR is going to be almost that by itself. However HP and the Forbidden Journey has broken down some serious walls on the technological side of theme park attractions and its significance should be recognized for that. It's also a more attractive theme IMHO.

@Monorailorange
Theres a lot of merch planned for World of Color and I would expect a line of tees to be sold.
What we saw in the Disney Parks Blog is some of the WoC themed treats and such. We haven't seen pics of the shirts and the rest.

From the blog: "We plan on eating popcorn with a side of cotton candy and a Spectrum Splash to wash it all down – with light-up bangle bracelets on both arms and a balloon tied to our backpack. (And a cupcake for a midnight snack.)"
Gee, do they know their visitors or what! haha...
All I can say is... mmmmmmm cupcakes.....![]()

it actually amazes me that marketing and foods are finally seeing the potential of selling items that not only could be enjoyed there but also serve as souvenir. Tokyo Disneyland resort sells sweets with souvenir glass mugs as well as sweets with collectible plates. They not only entice guests to buy something they could enjoy there but also give them a souvenir. The perfect way of increasing guests spending.
I rather pay for a cupcake served on a souvenir plate or mug that i could actually use at home then a drink in a plastic cup that i will never use again. I bet you that if they did sell items that came in collectible desert plates more people would buy the items so that they could eventually have a nice set of plates to use at home with guests
i knew i had seen pictures of what i am talking about. For those that do not visit the Tokyo thread the following were posted in a trip report.
Now how dificult would it be for the people in charge of Anaheim to do things like this. i know that my purchases would increase if i knew i could get a nice treat and still go home with something i could share with my guests at home.
the melon bread picture has no souvenir but i thought it was a fun pic
