Well...i guess i'll stand a litle bit corrected...if that makes any sense. When you are standing near the back of the structure and looking up it looks flat. These pics are giving me a whole different perspective now. Structure has been added that you can not see well from the ground looking up when you are near it. At the waterfall end you can't even see the top when underneath because there is almost no room between the structure and the back of the parade building. Guess I better get better angles beore I open my mouth But in my defense it looks very different when you are right up on it and I don't spend a lot of time looking at the pictures posted here....my bad I guess.

Haven't been able to get to the park lately because of things. But the one thing I noticed in the picture above of the rock-work framing is the size of that thing. Compared to the people you can see at the bottom of the picture, it is huge. This is just going to be so amazing when all is said and done. I am looking forward to see just how they complete this. Things are really going ahead quickly now.

They could dress it up to fit something like a cave you might expect to find in The Little Mermaid (but hopefully without any character-specific theming). They could also make it very cool and dank by installing a fair number of swamp coolers and a couple of small, decorative water features. It would probably be too small for any shops, but they could put a couple of well-dressed ODV locations into it. It would be an alternate path (or it could take over/be added to the path) along the south-east side of Paradise Pier. I would call it Paradise Cove.

Anybody else like the idea (even though it will never, ever, ever happen)?

More: I meant to say that they could plus up the ambiance by adding a background soundtrack with crashing waves and sea birds. I think it would be a very popular corridor, especially during hot days, if they could really keep the inside fairly cool and not too bright. (Sounds a little like me, actually. )
I love it! Why not just have that one curve into screaming be the cove? It solves the problem of the flat wall being seen up close and makes for nice themeing compared with a low wall and trees.

Also, all the random white/teal fencing that is used to "hide" the pipes is ineffective and ugly, particularly that part with the giant teal curly-que on it. Sigh...
the part of your post that i put in bold is my bgiggest gripe about Screamin. those ugly white fences with teal curls really need ot go. I know they need to be there to prevent guests especially teens and kids from climbing all over the supports but they could do better.

Most of those supports have good size unused dead space between the main supports. those little spaces could be used as ODV sections that could replace the ugly dated carts they seem to like to lug all over the boardwalk.

The large arch over the main pathway with all the pipes could also be fixed alll they need to do is add a skin on each side and make it look like a period specific archway for the area

no that actually about right. the main drag/road/old route 66 for Carsland will not line up with the road in the farm area. The old road that leads to the gates at the moment will actually be ripped out and become the piece of land that will hold the structures for Fimore and Sarge. The main drag for Carsland that ends at the entrance of Radiator Spring Racers will line up to the farmers market building which will be demolished

From what i understand one of the reasons for the change was the possible clash between that whimsical fantasylike structure against the GCH and grizzly area. The new artwork along with some modifcations to the GCH facade that faces Paradise pier helped create a more uniform background

Some things about today. For the first time since it's premiere we were still distributing fastpasses for WoC at 9:30pm!! Also you now cannot see your onride photo from screamin at the exit. They moved the screens to be right behind the CM working the very small screamcam shop! From what I've heard. It's chaos. But it makes it easier to moderate photos. And the carsland rockwork really REALLY looks impressive! You can't tell from guest photos. From backstage.... It's speechless how ginourmous it's going to be!

The CS tubes are being painted blue. Its the same shade of blue used on TSMM which is the same color as the pants on the TSMM CM's......u get what i'm tryin to say?

They could have saved money by painting the CMs pants instead

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

That would be really awesome! Probably slim-to-none chance, but a totally wonderful idea nonetheless! :-D

From the concept art and models though, it appears as though some of that old road will still exist. There still seems to be a path between Sarge and Fillmore's and Pacific Wharf with some type of visual barrier to block the two areas. I may be wrong though. But yeah you're right the main drag for Carsland will go right through the farmers market building.

I think what you're trying to say is when the TSMM CMs ride CS, their legs will disappear when they go through the tubes... but I could be wrong.

Isn't the blue featured in the TSMM buildings color scheme and CM costumes a bit darker and mute than the bright aqua currently on Screamin tubes?

there will be a path behind Filmore and sarge that leads to the first aid station as well as to the entrance of the Wharf area. So you are right a small portion of the road closest to the wharf will still be there as a guest pathway into the wharf
