Yay! A new project tracker! Good thing too, the last one was getting a bit lengthy.
After rereading the first post, does anyone know if the new Partners-style statue is still on? I was really looking forward to that, but heard a rumor it wasn't happening...
When I went on the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour for my birthday, I had a really amazing tour guide who was very informative and has worked there for years and even challenged us to stomp him on any Disney question. Well the end of the tour they actually talk about the new DCA, mostly BVS and how it ties to Walt coming to LA and he mentioned in detail about the new partners statue and said it was a go. They even played a clip of Walt talking about coming to CA with his cardboard suitcase and what not.
Shouldn't the Toy Story Musical and Muppet Vision sections be updated? Narnia is definitely not going to be a part of this park anymore and Toy Story Musical is cancelled.
The Toy Story Musical is not really cancelled, its delayed. They said they didnt want Toy story to move into the theater making it crowded and then them having to close down a crowded theater during phase 2 to remodel the hypervision theater so they are waiting till phase 2 then adding Toy Story the Musical. So its only delayed, not cancelled.
I <3Disneyland California & <3 California Adventure December 15, 1966 - Also known as the saddest day in world history.
I got to watch half of WOC from the Grand Californian Hotel tonight.. (before they suddenly rushed us out of there) and I'm really impressed with the show, the Aladdin section was really good, (at least from what I saw, couldn't see the projections from the view point), now I really can't wait till Friday. This week is gonna be painful. Will go back tomorrow night to check it out again.
Everybody's got a laughin' place-
trouble is most folks won't take the time to go look for it.
i don't understand why people have a hard time with the decor for the Glow Fest.
I think they work and relate the idea that it is suppose to be a festive atmosphere. The only problem i have with them is that they seem to be a bit clunky and that they did not consider the design so that the piece that hanged over the sidewalk had a cutout down to the asphalt instead of a piece of wood.
Those round planters also look out of place, i understand why they added the planters to hide the undefooting of that corner but maybe they should have used the square planters they already had from the wine walks.
As for them being tacky, sure they are a bit tacky but no diferent from many other temporary lighting fixtures that have popped up in almost every Disney resort in the world when they do temporary holiday events.
