The one issue for capacity that may come up is that the only access for the trolley is through doors, as opposed to just climbing up steps to seats like the horse drawn trolleys at Disneyland. That’s going to slow down the load/unload. Of course, as the trolley isn’t really an attraction that needs to achieve any sort of capacity, I guess it won’t really matter.

I'm a lot more excited to see the trolley than ride it. I may ride it a few times, but it will mostly be for the atmosphere and the look rather than an attraction to ride.

I agree, I think it's going to turn out brilliantly and it's really going to give that park the extra push it needs to really stand on its own two legs. I can't wait to see it!

Otherwise, it would just seem horribly lopsided.
I'm sure they will just wait at the switch and then procede. A little bit longer wait if your car came from TOT.

In theory, they could run 3 cars if they wanted with the switch being the layover for the odd car.

exactly I think three would be Ideal but I imagine we will end up with 2

At this point with the trolleys, all the track has not been laid down yet. There could be another switch point somewhere. But if not, then one car waiting for the other is not unusual. It happens all the time with shuttle transportation.

There will only be two red cars. They will be different in design representing two different periods of the system.

I am pretty sure a 2nd switch track will be located in the BVS area.

I know artwork and plans are not final but the track layout had stops at the front of the park, at the switchtrack and then TOT. I'll see if I can find the map layout.

The stops are represented by the dots on the map.

According to the sign there will be 4 stations. Maybe just clever advertising for the trolley though and not actual stations. Who knows.

Makes since. BVS represents the 20's while Hollywoodland is suppose to represent the 30's. The red cars back then did have different looks during those two periods.

There will be 4 stops from main entrance to tower and 3 from tower to main entrance.

From main entrance...Car picks up/drops off at (1)entrance and then proceeds to (2)Carthay theater for drop off/ pickup and then proceeds to (3)Animation building for drop off/pick up on side of switchtrack nearest Animation building and then to (4)tower where it will drop off/pick up.

From tower... (1)picks up/drops off and proceeds down hollywood blvd passing the other car that is stopped at animation building on other side of trackswitch and then drops off/pick up at (2)Carthay theater and then to (3)main entrance drop off/pick up.

They will cross on trackswitch when one is stopped to drop off/pick up in front of animation building and the other is going from tower to entrance.

There is artwork up in the Blue Sky Cellar showing both cars and there is also the model of one of the cars.

There is a picture of the model on page 1 of this thread. I found a picture of the BSC artwork but it is on an unrelated website.
