Are those fake trees on the RSR mountains permanent? They are ugly.

I seem to recall someone saying that those were just there temporarily, but I could be entirely mistaken on that. It was pages back, if it happened at all. In any case, the type of tree isn't a problem - check out the fifth screen capture on this page. The only potential issue is the execution, and I think we'll just have to see how that goes.

I went to the parks today and saw that the red and gold railing-like design on the sides of the California Screamin' track looked freshly painted. Was this recently done? I can post pictures if you wish.

Yes. It will look better once the painting is done and stuff. I actually like them. IT adds to the scenery beautifully.

JK!!!! No, those are not permenant. Well for now they are not. They are to help with sightline and proportion issues.

Semi off topic: Is anyone else seeing hidden mickeys in the "bubble" iron work on AUA? If not, you will see.

Thanks for the link Data. I think the implementation of those trees is a nice, detailed touch that will add to the mountain once the project is completed next year, especially if they had that screenshot in mind. Just another awesome detail for a trademark Disney mountain!

I remember Insider or someone else long ago mentioned, back when the tubes were painted, that the whole thing was being painted in phases. Last visit the red gold and white on coaster looked great

Man those pipes and the excess infrastructure look bad. I wish they could hide it.

This is just speculation, but I'm guessing the reason for no taffy store would be similar to the reason for no readily available chewing gum in the parks. It would get stuck everywhere. Kids would spit it out and drop it on the hot pavement, people would be disrespectful and stick it on things (especially the flavors they don't like), etc. Yukcy.
