Have any of you sat on the porch on Main Street?

I need the help of my MiceChatters again!

Have any of you sat on the porch on Main Street - next to the Silhouette Shop?

My question is: What can you see through the windows behind the chairs? Anything? One of the shops? People walking around shopping? A blank wall?

A big thank you again for the help!

this isn't the area by the lockers/ice cream stand/and parade storage is it? Because i've had an ice cream back there before and you can hear a piano lesson. my friend once told me that sometimes you can see a silhouette of donald duck running through a window on main street. hopefully this is what you are talking about. i haven't ever seen donald, but i was never looking to hard. it'd make sense having a shadow above the silhouette shop though.

Far as I know, nothing through the windows on the porch. But late at night, that's a great rocking chair to just hang out in. Would be an amazing location to watch the parades but I'll bet it goes WAY early for that.

This is my favorite spot to drink my first cup of coffee at the park and watch the crowd go by. I don't think I have ever looked to see what was going on in the windows behind me.

There is nothing to be seen through the windows or doors. The rocking chair doesn't rock as all furniture is anchored down to the porch.
I've found that mostly locals use the place as visitors are too busy doing stuff.
It is a GREAT place to sit first thing in the morning to watch the terribly excited first time visitors and especially their kids go racing by in anticipation of the excitement that lies ahead.
The chair closest to the train station is best as folks can't see you until they actually pass you, so you get a really great look at the true thrill on their faces at being at the park. This is one of the best 'E' ticket experiences a regular visitor can have!

We just spent a half and hour on the porch last night while we enjoyed hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls.

Never thought of looking over our shoulder while we were eating.

We did do plenty of people watching though!

The porch is one of our favorite "hang outs" at the Park!

Looking at the picture... it's not even a rocking chair... why did I think it was? Hmm... wishful thinking maybe?

Agreed! I'm a once a year visitor, but we enjoy a slow morning walk or sit on Main Street with hot chocolate and croissants. This is one of the greatest features of Main Street... like sitting on your porch and people watching used to be. It's a lot of fun and just so relaxing. Main Street in the morning hours is really pretty.

Like most 'locals' my husband considers it 'his' porch. We set a spell pretty much every time we visit the Park, if there aren't some pesky strangers sitting on his bench. ;0)

But in all the years we've been stopping there, I have never noticed that there is anything other than a facade behind the windows.

My wife and I were there a few weeks ago and sat on the porch. We took a pic around the curtain on the far right window:

    Hope this helps.

I've probably been that "pesky stranger" because it's MY porch! <<grin>>

That is my Grandma's fav place to sit and people watch as we run around the park. We come back and check on her every couple hours, bring her lunch, save her seat while she runs to the restroom...it is a GREAT place to watch the parades until people try to cram in front of you while you are seated or sit on the railings of the porck...

Awesome! Thank you all so much! My hubby rides a mobility scooter, so stopping there ourselves is pretty much out...Maybe I will have to sneak up there and sit a spell when he has the grands on some ride!

Sounds like this is a popular place.

    thanks again!

It's a great place to watch people exit when the park closes.

I've always wanted to just sit there for a couple minutes, get a picture and do it just because, but every time I've either been on my way somewhere with no time to spare or there is other folks already occupying the precious rocker!
It's on my to do list!
    Yaye!
