50th Birthday castle as promised to Aussies

Hi all - I got a brochure from QANTAS airlines, and they have a lovely picture on the front of the brochure - it shows the magnificent detail on the DL Castle. Below is a close up detail:

This doesn't quite look like the pics I've seen so far, but judge for yourself:

The smaller size pic is Here and the FULL sized picture is Here

This looks like the same style used in DLP's castle. I love it in Paris, but I'm not sure it would work in Anaheim. After all, Paris' castle should look surreal, and IMHO the Anaheim castle should look more or less authentic. But hey, maybe that's just me

[graphic designer's eye]They could have spent a LITTLE more time making the characters actually look like they were standing there by brightening them up a bit though they did a good job combinng the concept art with a real picture of the castle.[/graphic designer's eye]

No, its just concept art. Am I the only one who likes what it will look like with the gold crowns?

I think it will look great! Besides, look on the bright side, atleast we aren't getting a castle cake.

    ^Or WDW's castle's monstrosity for the 50th.

I like DLRs makeover on the castle.

Here, here! That new mirror is downright hideous. I really like what Disneyland is getting, and hey--when the celebration is over, the crowns will come down and we'll still have a nice, brightly painted castle

I don't think it looks that bad, actually.

From what I've seen of the new layover being installed at WDW, I think DL's castle is much better. The WDW Castle looked really nice in the concept art I saw, but in the photos, it looks so tacky.. Hopefully, in photos and in-person the Disneyland castle wont be bad at all..
