    Sad Sadness

Our trip was to begin this Thursday, Nov 10 and end around Nov.25/05 We were to be in Disneyland Nov. 14-21.
Our 2 year old son fell on the weekend and he will be in hospital in traction for the next 2-3 weeks and then will be in a full body cast for the next 6-8 weeks. By then I will be to pregnant to travel as we are expecting Early March 2006.
Thank Goodness our DS is ok, but I needed a moment of Feel sorry for myself and shake it off! Thanks for listening!!!

Same thing happened to my little sister. The week before she was suppossed to go to disneyland with us, she was in a bad car accident and has been in critical care for 2 months and is also in traction. She was so dissapointed. We went and took pictures for her and brought her all kinds of stuff, but it just wasn't the same for her. We look forward to taking her once she is healed and able to ride rides again.

Be happy that everything is ok! When you are able to take the trip, it will be much more special and your son will probably remember it better.

What a terrible accident for such a little boy!

DQ is right, when you are able to make the trip once he is back to 100% and you have had your new kidlet, your son will remember the trip much better.

In the meantime, perhaps you can think of some Disney-riffic ways to cheer up your son while he's in the hospital!

Aww. I hope you little one will get better very soon. Sorry you had to cancel your wonderful plans. We all have things that we want to do and sometimes life gets in the way. It happens all the time and has happened to me so I can relate. Remember that patience is a virtue and that the next time you can go to Disneyland you can share your experience with your new baby!

That's the saddest thing I've heard all morning.

I hope your family will get another chance to go soon, and I hope your little guy feels better!

Two years old and in a full body cast. Hoooooo boy! May God grant you peace and mercy during the next two months!

AND PREGNANT TOO!! (Hail Mary, full of grace....)

Oh my! How awful! This is going to be a tough period and I'm so sorry it happened to your DS.
I hope his recovery is quick, your pregnancy is easy and you all get to go to Disneyland together for wonderful memories shortly after your new little one arrives.

DramaQueen, I'm sorry for your sister as well. what sad timing.

    Re: Sadness

Very sorry to hear about your son, and your cancelled plans too. The only bright spot I can think of (besides the fact that your son will get better ) is that maybe when you do manage to go you'll be able to ride the thrill rides, since your baby will be born? (Unless you don't like thrill rides, in which case, sorry. )

    Re: Sadness

I bet if you wrote to guest services, they could probably send you an autographed photo of Mickey Mouse with a get well greeting to put by his bed for him to look at.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...
