English Skills and landing a job

First, I apologize if this is the wrong section of the forum, but this seemed like the best match.

My wife is a recent immigrant (from Asia) and wants to get a job working at the Disneyland resort.

Being a recent immigrant, her English isn't always the best. Does anyone know what level of proficiency is required to become a cast member? Are their certain jobs that are more lenient about English skills?

I am assuming that there are areas within the park, more than likely behind the scenes where she possible could work but I am assuming that due to safety issues she would have to have a pretty basic grasp of the language. Alot of the idividuals working in production where I work have english as a second language and they are tested to show a basic understanding so that in case of an emergency they can undestand and provide information and instruction in english.

Sounds to me like she has a great motivating factor for her to want to learn the English language.

Nothing lowers customer satisfaction more than employee's that can't effectively communicate with the guests.

Hopefully, she can find a position there that will also give her the time to get the proper schooling so she can advance within the organization.

    Good luck!

It seems to me that depending on her 'people skills' she may make a valuable bilingual hostess for visiting VIPs.
