The Hidden Mickey Thread -- All Star Version

    Hello everyone!

I am so excited. Now that World of Color is behind us, the next best thing to hit Anaheim within the next month is the 2010 MLB All Star Game!

As part of the preparation for the main event on July 13, The Walt Disney Company has placed 36 Mickey Statues throughout Orange and LA Counties in random locations. Each one has a unique design specifically for each major league team and a few decorated with generic All Star decorations.

I thought it would be fun to post pictures of the various hidden Mickeys throughout the area. I'll get started. Feel free to post others that you may find as you go to the beach or mall or wherever people tend to gather...

Here is a blurry me in front of the All Star Mickey at Angel Stadium.

This is in the East Esplanade at the DLR. Sorry but the sun was in the picture and it was taken on my iPhone.

Here is the Atlanta Braves Mickey in the West Esplanade at the DLR.

This is the Florida Marlins Mickey in front of ESPN Zone in DTD.

And here is the New York Mets Mickey in front of the carousel at the Irvine Spectrum Center.

I happened to notice a Mickey statue accross the street from the Huntington Beach Pier, but I was in my car and was not able to get a picture of it. Maybe someone else will post it...

Anyway, let's see if we can get some other pictures on here.

There is also a contest to win a trip to the 2011 All-Star game by submitting a photo taken with the All-Star Mickey's. Apparently there are 36 of them distributed around So Cal.

That is so cool! Yet again I am losing out on something really fun by not living down there! I gotta move!

Hidden Mickey - Historical fiction about Walt that mixes action and mystery with time travel and fantasy! Tweens to adults will enjoy these novels. And now, three gamebooks to play in Disneyland, DCA and WDW Magic Kingdom!

How are these statues considered "hidden mickeys"??? THEY ARE STATUES, and out in the open!

This makes me think of the Peanuts sculptures in Santa Rosa, CA. They made Snoopys, Charlie Browns, Woodstocks, and this year there will be Lucys. (Click on each link for pics)
