Take Heart. At least nobody is refering to the new ride as Star Tours: Part Deux. Amazing when one ponders the reality that it's been around fifteen years since the Park has had a headliner thrill ride...unless one considers the Rocket Rods as being such.

Try going during an off season (Fall or Spring). FastPass use will likely be unnessessary during many of the weekdays.

Now...there's a creative imagination. It would be rather cool to experience 3-D from the perspective of actually being a Starspeeder.

One can only help. Side windows would actually add to the multi-demensional feel.

why exactly is the DL one closing earlier? will our be better or what?

there's too much reading but i'm guessing each ride is different and in 3d

I think ours is closing sooner because ours is opening sooner. That and it was originally intended for our park and maybe more of the components are ready for Anaheim. And I think keeping WDW's open through their summer season is a good plan...they get more multi day tourist DL is more locally based(although summer is the closest to being exception to that)

SoCalFan is correct that ours is closing earlier in order to build the new ride and open it sooner than the WDW StarTours. Your guestimation is true, Dannyland, that each ride will offer a different experience...and will be presented in 3-D.

Disneyland is investing far more money in it's revamp and features than WDW. Plus, DL struck a smart deal with The Oriental Land Company to share ride development resources. WDW's management have made the idiotic decision to build there's on the cheap. They have also had the audacity to ask DL to share it's technology with them for free. Not gonna happen!

I'm glad to hear this though. I thought this was case and glad to hear it's true. TDA has been making some good choices lately for the theme parks. I'm glad to hear. Poor Orlando though

TDA is awesome, plus some!!! Orlando dominated our Anaheim park/resort for decades. Didn't hear anyone over on the East Coast expressing sympathy for us. It's time for Disneyland to dominate once again!

Still...I do feel sorry for the WDW people, too.

Haha yay to TDA! I'm so excited for Star Tours. This was the ultimate favorite attraction of mine from my childhood.
