It's not MVP of one game but of the whole 7 game series.

Lakers are the b2b world champs and headed to a 3 peat.

Re: will there be a lakers victory parade again this year?

So after reading a bunch of posts doing a little research and reading other forums I've kinda formed the conclusion (also basing on last year) the Lakers parade at Disneyland will be this Tuesday the day after the downtown LA parade and everyone BUT Ron Artest will be there because he would rather be in Compton. And like they said they won't confirm it until the day of? I guess I'll take my chances and hopefully they'll have those ears again this year! I'd like to buy my boyfriend one

The people who do that after the championships are NOT the real fans. They are just people looking for an excuse to be morons.

We had word by now last year. The OC Register Disney Blog had already released the info and people had time to take off of work, etc if they wanted to go.

I really have to wonder if they would try it tomorrow with this late notice.

first off, i just wanted to say hi to everyone here. I'm new to the site.

secondly, you are right Druggas, the MVP is for the series. I don't know why people think that the MVP award is for the game. It's "FINALS MVP" not final game MVP.

No dice, fellas. Looks like there won't be a parade at Disneyland this year.

Kevin Ding of the OC Register reports:
For everyone asking, the Lakers are NOT doing any appearance at Disneyland.

He's a very credible source that follows the team. Looks like the Lakers are doing exit interviews tomorrow and Wednesday with Phil Jackson and Mitch Kupchack.

Bummer. I had a feeling last year's parade was really about the bet between WDW and Disneyland. Also...I think most of the TEAM was invited last year, but only Kobe bothered to show up as he is known to be a huge Disneyland fan. So maybe TDA knew that they wouldn't get much of a response again from the players.

Re: will there be a lakers victory parade again this year?

I didn't look up last year's topic about the Lakers in DL, but from that previous topic, it sounded like DL really gave a good effort to get as many Laker's as possible for the jaunt down Main Street, but in spite of DL's efforts, only one, Kobe showed up. That had to be rather embarassing for DL, especially when Kobe is at DL nearly as often as most of us are. Why should DL offer the Lakers a cavalcade this year, when the Laker's pretty much told off DL last year.

I really don't blame the players as they all just look absolutely exhausted.

If they are here, hopefully there will be no riots on Main Street USA.
