A113's Report of Color - 6/12 [No Spoilers]

Yeah I was lazy so here it is.

Note: I have successfully resisted spoiling anything related tor World of Color prior to this visit, so I have absolutely no idea what to expect!

I went to DCA over the weekend to check out the World of Color. We checked into a hotel Friday night so we could wake up early and head over to the park for the fastpass. Lucky for us our hotel was walking distance, so no transportation was required, hooray!

And here it i--- whoah... that's a long line. From what I recall, it was 8:50am.



Thankfully for our special skills we were able to find a new line and jump right in it!



They had these up in the esplanade, pretty cool. +1 for the castmember with coffee.



It's the run of the bulls! It's Six Flags all over again!

And thankfully for my impressive stride and cross country/track skills, I outran and passed almost everyone in front of me! We got pretty ahead in the line for the fast pass too.



Noted.



My brother was waiting in line with our APs, so I chilled to the side. Look at all those people!

And during the time I was chilling to the side I tried to be a little artsy with the photography







And Lo and behold; ladies and gentleman, the World of Color Fastpass!



I wasn't familiar with what area was good for viewing, but from what Ckelef1 (my brother) and cast members told me, Blue is a pretty good spot.

So the park opened, and everyone 400'd their way to where ever in the park they were headed in (Bonus for those who get the pun!), but our first stop was the Blue Sky Cellar. I was eager to see the update (which I didn't spoil either)!

I'm 50% positive that's Autodesk Revit.

They had these around the park. It was a nice touch, but it personally looks too modern in my opinion.

These guys were huge..



Good job disney.. during the warm up party they directed these guys on the bridge to "hop up and down" like Tigger. They could've like.. fallen into the lagoon, like are they really that serious?



Then the guys began to leave.. bai GENIE!!



8:59pm.



9:00pm. Truly epic show.. expect my review in the Disneyland forum soon..

I have to admit the music was really sick, but this whole thing was just.. no. It doesn't fit here. I like it, but it just doesn't fit here.

If you don't know.. my ride on Tower of Terror was a memorable one.. I met 3 new friends, one of them is special! . It really made my day.



Don't mess with this guy.. he'll make you clean up after C!ASP every performance daily.

I was there when you were (sorry no pic...I was dumb and forgot my camera).

We did the 6/12/10 10:15 showing.
We didn't get into the park until about 10am
so I never saw that line. We got Yellow area....some of our group got Red, so majority ruled and we went to Red area.

Pretty sure; WDI uses Sketch-up for pre-vis and stuff. They don't use it for everything though.

I ask because I'm a current Sketchup User and I used it for an extracurricular architecture class at a firm. Most of the guys working there were using Revit, and the renders they had posted up on walls looked a lot like the render of The Little Mermaid. I remember in the previous exhibit they had a picture of Silly Symphony Swings, and that one I know for a fact was Sketchup
