    July 2nd 2010: 9:05 Fantasmic! delayed

I was in the park and waited for the first Fantasmic! when they announced some "unforseen circumstances" which meant a delay.

The delay lasted for 20 minutes before finally starting. As a result, the fireworks were delayed until Fantasmic was finished.

This is the 2nd time i've been to a Fantasmic! showing that was delayed.

Any guesses on what could've caused delays like this?

Interesting... Could be that the SMPTE timecode wasn't in sync. This has happened a few times before causing delay. Probably the most common cause for delay.

Or it could be something more complicated... Perhaps the lifts or something. I'll make a couple calls and find out in the morning!

Murphy had a sore throat? mickey needed a nap, he had to get up to early that morning, so he didn't have enough energy to beat evil? the princesses were acting like diva's and didn't want to get on their rafts? peter pan and wendy were late because they were flying in from neverneverland?

    i could keep going

    Any guesses? LOL

Oh, I'm sure there will be plenty of guesses once the usual suspects wake up and find this thread.

    Here, I will start.

The Little Mermaid just flew in from the gulf and she kept slipping off the raft because she was still covered in oil.

No, not the best, but it's late. I will sleep on it and come up with another "guess".

I have to wonder, what do you give a fire-breathing dragon who has a sore throat? Castrol?

That's 2 days in a row the first show of Fantasmic has been delayed. Was a bit odd when the fireworks did not start until 9:50. Bet everyone was having a good time hanging out on Main St for an extra 20 minutes. At least they did not cancel the show.

Yes, but they'd prefer not to. Especially for first show.

Why did the Twain not make it into the show?

The Aflac duck got caught up in the paddle wheel and was gonna sue so they had to shut the Twain down for the ambulance chasing lawyers!!!
Howdy folks, please keep your hands, arms and legs inside the train and remain seated at all times. Now then, hang on to them hats and glasses cause this here's the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness!!!
