This is a battle the local Anaheim residents will never win

For residents near Disneyland, nightly fireworks shows have lost their spark - latimes.com

I think they should deal with it and feel blessed that they get to be a part of the magic everyday!

So because you lost your interest in fireworks means that DLR should stop too? You think they should stop because you are annoyed of them when guests in the park are marveling at them? Just shut up already. You get to see the fireworks for FREE while guests are paying 75-600 dollars . You guys are so selfish and only think about yourselves. Not one time in there did I see the " annoying neighbors " mention the tourist at DLR. Rude and inconsiderate. Maybe its time for you to move if your annoyed. Suck it up. My mom use to listen to this every night and not one time did she complain.

Interesting? I always wondered why Disney can shoot off fireworks every night and have hundreds of noise complaints a year, but they have to put scream tubes on California Screamin'

Comes with the territory. If you moved here expecting peace and quiet around 9:30pm, that's quite delusional. You want silence, move somewhere else.

Is that what those are? I always thought it was to block your view so you don't look over at illusion breaking houses.

Given that Disneyland has had nightly summer fireworks since the early 1960's (- - that's 50 years now), what were they thinking?

You can bet when these folks moved in they bragged to friends that they could see the Disneyland fireworks from home. Let the buyer beware.

I have no pity for these people. It isn't as if fireworks shows at Disneyland are a new thing.

As a local, I have never minded the sight or sound of fireworks. As for people moving into the area and wanting the fireworks to stop. They just need to get over their bad selves. Just because they spent 500 thousand for a small condo or a million for a McMansion, doesn't give them a right to stop decades of tradition. They knew about the fireworks going in. Besides, how else would I know it's 9:40pm?

PS, Before I lived in the OC, I lived for a time near Sea World. Every night at the same time I got to go out and watch the Sea World fireworks over the water on the bay. Beautiful, loved it.

I would rather listen to DL fireworks everynight than rough neighborhood violence or shootings.

Yeah those people should know the pros and cons but those fireworks are LOUD! They really shouldn't be angry but give them a break. Just because we like the Disneyland fireworks doesn't that everyone else who chose to find a house in Anaheim should. But then again Disney has been doing this for 50 years. As for why people are complaining now I don't know

I always do a face palm when I read things like this. Forget getting a free show and such, Disneyland has been there for well over half a century now. There is no way you could buy a house in the area and not know about the constant firework shows. People pull stuff like this all the time. Palo Alto Airport has been in place for decades but we still got noise complaints from people living blocks away...sheesh.

I think it's ridiculous that the locals are throwing everything they can at disney, air polution lawsuits? My seafood manager lives 5 mins. away from disneyland and he said that it never really bothers him, in fact he said that he and his buddies were gonna sit in his backyard tonight, drink, and watch the show and he said he'll never move cause he gets a free show whenever he wants and whenever he has company over they can all watch the show at night, I think the locals need to calm down about it and realize the fireworks aren't going anywhere anytime soon and that if they hate them that much then they need to move out of the area
