Which is your favorite Fantasyland Dark Ride?

Wow,
once again I'm the odd man out here.
I only saw Snow White on one person's list on this post, and it was in last place.
Ohhhh the humanity.
Snow White is definitely the best of all the Fantasyland dark rides. True that the ending of the story is kind of cut short, but if you think about it, what's the real moral of Snow White??? Is it that she ends up with her Prince Charming? Nope! Sorry folks but it's not.
The moral of that whole film is what happens when pride consumes your life, and the climax is the Wicked Queen's downfall. The movie has almost nothing to do with Snow White as a heroin, but rather more to do with the pride/hatred/downfall of the jealous Queen.
It's a timeless tale and one that is going on even now in the heirarchy of Disney. Michael Eisner has a blueprint of his own downfall right there in that one lonely ride and he doesn't see it. Pride people, it's all about what happens to the proud.
And with that... I think it's fairly obvious for you all to see why Snow White will always be the greatest of the Fantasyland rides.
It's a 'lesson to be learned' thing I suppose!!!!

Wow, after re-reading my previous post, I'm convinced that I'll get some Snow White converts. Soooo, if any of you are going to the park soon, please go on Snow White with my previous post in mind and then come back and let me know if maybe, by some small chance, this incredible ride moved up on your list.

PINOCCHIO. It captures the experience of teh movie really well and I just adore Ghepettos toy shoppe room. I want an exact replica in my house. So adorable!

I have to say there is something very magical in Alice in that you go down then work back up only to exit the building and wind your way down the leaves. This would get my vote if they ever brought back the smoking caterpillar that you used to see on the back side of the book over the operator's mushroom.

That said - TOAD ROCKS!

I'll have to say that Peter Pan is my favorite in Fantasyland, mainly because visually.. it's amazing, especially with the circling around Neverland in the sea of stars... although the stars are all lights, it's a cool effect. Even with the flyover of London before then.. very nice. ^^

Mr. Toad is second, I don't know why.. I guess its because it was a childhood favorite.

Snow White in third, Pinnochio in fourth, and Alice in fifth... mainly because I haven't been on it in a long time.. I meant to go on it last time I was there, but I didn't know if the group would have wanted to go as well. Oh well, always next time.

disneyking, your statement is more convincing as support for the movie, rather than the actual attraction. As far a movies of the same characters, you could just about reverse my choices of attractions.

In defense of the ride, as per your comments, I love it for all the same reasons as I love the movie.
Because I feel that the movie is more about the Wicked Queens descent, I feel that the ride is perfect because most of the time, we are in her realm and element.
As for the ending of the ride, it's perfect because it correlates perfectly with the climax of the movie... the Queens death. When she falls from the cliff, in either the ride or the movie, that's pretty much the greatest 'Happily Ever After' ending any of us could ask for.
I think the ride is perfect just as it is because it ends right at the climax of the entire story.
Maybe that's a little bit more explanation on why SWSA is the greatest of all the Fantasyland rides!
