Question Tinkerbell on the Mark Twain?

    MiceAge.com - A different look at Disney...
Hey guys just reading through a couple of Al's OLDER articles and found a part that said

The finale was also to be reworked to include more Pixar characters on the Mark Twain, with the Little Green Army Men characters joining Buzz and Woody at the stern of the ship instead of Clarabelle Cow and Pluto.
And I was wondering why don't they try to have Tinker bell "Fly" across the Rivers of America during Fantasmic? Am I the only one who thinks that would be cool?
PS I know the article says she would JUST be sitting on the Mark Twain but I think my idea's cooler ;-)

He makes a bit of an error. He says Ariel's been there since the opening, but it's not true. Pocahontas used to stand on the tip of the boat, and they'd move Ariel to the 2nd level. I personally think a live actors two big to be next to the others.

I think I'd be cool but two concerns pop to my head:

    1. Wires seen during the day for her flight path.

    2. Too much attention on tink.

    3. Doesn't she digitally fly on the projection screens?

Re: Tinkerbell on the Mark Twain?

Her flying across something is a staple tradition of Disneyland fireworks and while she should be free to fly wherever she wants I think it would take away from that tradition to start doing it other places just cuz. As it is, her being on the Mark Twain was nixxed anyways and she's not a giant part of the show so adding a big appearance like her flying across the river would be overkill. She's just there to help Mickey reshape his now-conquered nightmarish setting with a little pixie dust transformation.

I actually like the idea of having her fly across the river, I think it'd be a cool addition and they could probably find a way to conceal her wire the way they do all of the lighting/audio towers

i think this is a very cool idea, and as other's have said, i think they can rid of the wires during the day like they do with all other equipment.

A cooler idea would be to have temporary bleachers, where we all could see the show. No one would be allowed to camp out hours before the show and everyone would have an equal chance for a seat.

This has been a Filmways presentation dahling.

Wouldn't that kinda look like a giant firefly flying across the river? LOL Of course the Tink's I've seen are pretty hot and hard to confuse over a bug I guess.

also more people could see the show (I have seen many people throw out a blanket and Take WAY too much space for them selves)

I like the flying idea better than her just sitting. But I just think that would be too much.

She's like three or four inches high though. If anything they could add some cute little Fiber Optic or LED effect that darts around the Columbia during Peter's segment. That way you'd know it was her but you couldn't physically see her from that distance cause she's to small. That be cool to see.

Putting her anywhere that she's occupying the same space as average sized characters, out side of Pixie Hollow, wouldn't look good at all. I'm mean we're already pushing it with huge anthropomorphic animals wandering around.

I wouldn't like that because Tink is not the same size as Belle or Dopey and it wouldn't make sends to have her both on the water clip then all of a sudden she is on the boat. So I don't think it will work right.

have her fly instead of on the screens at the end, and her wave of the wand (right above the Twain) brings the characters and Mark Twain to life for the Finale
