What classic disney moments would you add to world of color to enhance the show? What mediums would the be in, what music, etc?

20,000 Leagues Under The Sea medley with Whale of a Tail, the Nautilus/sea monster music (with approaching projected Nautilus via layers of screens), and giant squid fight with water whip fountains for the tentacles.

Re: What would you like to see in world of color

I won't see WoC till September ... and have avoided all spoiler topics. But with that in mind .. and learning of some "pop/modern" moments in the feel to the show .... this is what I would love to see instead ...

    SOUND:
I think if they created a show in the vein of the more charming feel of the 50s/60s - (think original "tiki room" show) ... with it all being a sound that came out from that era ... I would love it.

There was a time when songs were made up of a large chorus of men and women ... not "solo" numbers .. and it just has a warm, charming appeal about it.

Combine that with a 100 piece Symphony Orchestra that emulates the sound of orchestras dating to the early 60s .. and earlier ...

Then what you have ... is a show purely placed in that more "romantic era" from the 1930s to 1950s.

CONTENT: Scenes that can be from any era .. Could be Eve and Wall-E ..... but done strictly in the style I was trying to describe.

Other Lion King scenes like Circle of Life.
Maybe even a tribute to Disneyland making a castle out of fountains.
What else that I wanna see but necessarily is Disney are music videos.
music Videos by various artists by say Michael Jackson or other artists.
I could imagine Thriller being projected/coerographed by fountains

I don't go to a show like WoC for story- it's a musical "clips" show, after all. But they DRASTICALLY need some "flow" to the show. It's transitions (with a few minor exceptions) are TERRIBLE. The whole Mufasa death scene goes right into "everything is happy again".

Re: What would you like to see in world of color

I'd say first: Bring back the music that was writin and recorded for the show!!
(as heard in the test videos from the hotel) Wich had a much more pretier (and in my ears more emotional) version of Part of your world, not the stupid copy, past from the movie (I belive they even said "World of color is not supposed to be seeing the movies on water screens) same for A whole new world, also a movie copy, past, it sounded beautyfull in the test vid!

One of my biggest music shocks was So Close (form Enchanted) colours of tears, the test vid had a very emotion flow from Mufasa's death into the colors of tears sequence it was a duet version wish had a female singer, wich sounded really good and much more conecting than the copy past movie version (wich I love but sticks out as diffrent in the show)

Other than music, I think most people will agree that the curent order of all the scenes now have some death spots, so I'd like to see more flowing over in the other scenes^^

Speaking wale, they can keep it but its to long for my tast (I love finding nemo) but it kinda drags and music wise its a death spot, with a shorter calling whale I would extend the fantasia 2000 wales so that you can actualy SEE them fly to space rather than just fly out of the water.

Wall-E I love the songs but again its kinda longer and slows down the show, Id say keep it but a bit shorter is welcome,

UP! randomness, the lovley piano tune of Ellie's theme starts and we fly UP! (we where in the galexy before with Wall-E and Buzz Zurg Batle) and now we sudenly are DOWN in the clouds? I find it kinda strange but Im not sure how else to make it fit, I think buzz should somehow fly down true clouds and then clouds go to A whole new world or something like that (I like Up bit it doesnt flow right at this spot I think so maby somwhere else)

The mist screens! I like m BUT some(most) of the vids are cutt of at the topp (seeing a bald Ariel is kinda distracting) if there is a way to make the movie clips smaller or the screens bigger that would be welcome~

Alice in Wonderland (oh dear, beating death horse here) I would have loved to see it BUT IF it really didnt work I dont mind it being cutt, what DOES is a huge problem is messing with the flow of the show, no alice = no colours of wonderland and that means the order of the whole show is kinda doomed, (Im talking about the D23 presetation for those who dont understand why I keep talking about the original order of the show) I dont like the current order much, why? like I said before it doesnt flow, you can CLEARLY hear and see that Spring Sprite/Pocahontas was NOT suposed to be in that spot in the shows order..

Finale, love it! but the world of colour theme could have been longer for the final~

Last thing, Id have LOVED to have little reprises of the world of color theme throughout the show to help it flow and make it 1 whole piece

Love World of Color, but it could be beter,

The actual opening of "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color" with hand animated Tinker Bell, fireworks and castle - and the entire 1967 choral version TV theme with lyrics used to frame the show throughout.

    More kaleidoscopes.

Ludwig VonDrake "Spectrum Song" comic relief segment.

"Alice in Wonderland" (Walt's version) and "Peter Pan segments.

"The Three Caballeros"/"Blame it on the Samba" Mary Blair salute.

"20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" giant squid fight.

"Oh, Sing Sweet Nightingale" bubbles segment from "Cinderella."

"Pink Elephants on Parade" from "Dumbo."

Monstro the Whale chase from "Pinocchio."

    "Swisskapolka" from "Swiss Family Robinson."

"The Monkey's Uncle" with Annette and The Beach Boys.

"This Land is Your Land" (Disneyland version) by The Kids of the Kingdom (from "Disneyland Showtime").

    "Herbie" Theme.

"The Beautiful Briny" from "Bedknobs and Broomsticks."

"Candle on the Water" from "Pete's Dragon."

    "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" from "Fantasia."

Salute to Walt Disney Choral Finales and Happy Endings.

Buddy Baker's closing theme arrangement for "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color."
