And what do you know? No Alice scenes as speculated...
An interesing detail I found: The rumor of not telling us where the show will be because they were still trying to figure out where it wil be held is false. As you can tell by the projection designs, This location was chosen for a long, long time
Blue was the first one they did. Then red, then green. I wonder if they are actually taking votes. Or was the voting just for the first show?
i voted blue like 15 times and generally the show I voted for, they did. And Blue was definitely my favorite intro color! It held my attenion the longest, and the rain scene and icebreaker scene looked the best in blue out of the three colors.
I just found another problem that shared similarities with the real WOC, the intro has no coherency with the rest of the show, like their not even similar to eachother. Oh well, the people making this show making the same mistakes when they made WOC.
for those who missed it (even though its showing right now as i type this):
the "intro" segment.. the only part that changed with the different colors viewers picked.. the only difference between the colors was.. just that. the color of the overlay over the intro.. pretty non-interactive if you ask me.
it didnt really look like the above photo, i simply put all three intros together. it was one solid color: green, red, or blue.
flower falling in love
beauty and the beast dancing.
the love montage still going, this time with Aladdin and Jasmine
show ends with a random panorama of a ridge/cliff-scape..
we get some donald and daisy love from disney for once!
then two brooms from the apprentice come and splash the WoC ad on the walls..
This is pure Disney magic at its best! How awesome is this?!?!
After an hour on the phone trying to figure out where this was going to be, and then almost drive an hour down there (with no traffic), and then finding parking spot, setting up my camera and tri-pod to watch that! No. That was lame. So not worth my time.
it is supposed to be Disney taking the World of Color show "on the road" or "on tour" to make it available for those who can't get to DCA..
Um no, that's not the point. They're not trying to replicate the show, they're just dressing up landmarks/buildings throughout the state to promote World of Color. We already knew it would be projection-based.. i'm not sure what you guys were expecting? An actual fountain show?
I thought it was pretty cool.. Can't wait to see what they do with the Disney Concert Hall in Downtown LA.

"We're going to take you out of this world of reality for a visit to the most fantastic of all the worlds of fantasy." - Walt Disney
They should have run the intro they did at the premier with all the clips of the original world of color show and Walt Disney then gone into a few segment videos of the show. Now that might have been cool.
I do think the beginning sequence would work great as a promotional enticement for TRON Legacy
