MLB takes over DL for All Star Parade- 7/13/10

So... I wasn't able to get down to dl until almost 9:30. When I arrived, I found the entire area around the flag pole blocked off, the entire front of the hub, all of the benches across frontierland & adventure land and the entire mainstreet train entrance reserved for MLB players families and media. I grabbed one of the few spits left in the shade & am now waiting it out.

Craziness.

Lol. That's what I get for trying to type on an iPhone.

MLB network has set up in front of the flagpole. The entire park area behind them is blocked off. Tough to get a decent shot today as all most of the good spots are reserved,

We will take whatever we can get....decent shots or not we just love trip reports in general and with an event such as this its great to just get a little something since most of us cant be there

I soooo wanted to be there today but I just took a couple of days off from work and didn't want to ask for more. I could have called in sick but I have too much of a guilty conscience for that.

I've got a couple of Ichiro, and I'll try to post some shots after they get uploaded.

Favorite shot of the day: Larry King in Dodger mouse ears. He was there with his grand kids and was in the VIP section just across from us.

Very cool time there today. Found a great place in the shade, and most of the players were very accommodating even at the end of the parade route where we were.

On the way home, they were still shuttling players back to their hotel. It cracks me up that the city of Anaheim was STOPPING TRAFFIC in order to give them a police escort back across town. They can't wait for traffic lights? Really? I didn't see the traffic mess over on Harbor as I came and left on Ball. Hopefully it wasn't too bad this morning.
