Re: Will the Red Car Trolley last?

From what I've heard the main downfall for the Jolly Trolley was the fact that people would try to jump on and off the trolley while it was moving, which is dangerous. (duh) Since the RCT will be enclosed, I doubt this will be an issue. It will run into crowds like the Main Street Vehicles, but DCA is built with more walkway and the drivers will just have to be careful.

When the trolley gets going, they hould have CMs dressed like Eddie Valiant and some dirty kids riding on the back bumper.

"Hey, mister. Ain't you got a car?"

I (we) really don't know, I think it would be great great, but I don't think they(WDI) planed for RCT to travel to Paradise Pier and back to BVS(though, WDI could be planing a different line of RCT, but that is merely speculation or rumor right know.)

Only if Judge Doom buys it and dismantles it to create demand for a "freeway"

Since you guys have brought up the tie in to Who Framed Roger Rabbit... does anyone else agree that maybe WDI should consider moving Toon Town from DL to DCA, not replacing anything, but just adding it somewhere off of Hollywoodland?

That would also give WDI more options of expansion in the back of DL, behind the train?

only if they follow my arguement months ago about moving Critter Country and getting rid of that dead end lol

Toontown would match the Hollywood area in a way I suppose but its fine in Disneyland and isn't going anywere. There is no reason to justify the expense and nowhere to fit the whole place in DCA.

I certainly hope the RCT lasts. It will be a great addition to the park. It's just a shame when things get shut down prematurely without a better or comparable replacement... And we've all seen this happen many times at the resort.

wouldn't that make Haunted Mansion a Dead-End though?

Re: Will the Red Car Trolley last?

    lol yes!

haha and yeah I already argued that point a while back. The Mansion dead end wouldn't be as deep and wouldn't cause the traffic feedback issues Critter Country's current location causes and I could go on but that isn't really the purpose of this thread.

The Red Car shall last for at least five years! then its anyones game

I don't see them as a problem, if they could runn all the vehicles on mainstreet than it shouldn't be a problem in BVS.

on the fourth of July weekend they had every single vehicle running on mainstreet. I was surprised how well the crowds just moved over and let them go by. At one point it looked like a parade of vintage vehicles and it looked great

I understand that the bumper system has a power trip so that if there is any "bump" the battery power is cut and it will stop immediately.

While that is indeed a specific question, my contact is an Imagineer, not the HR manager in charge of hiring.

I've passed on some of the other questions posed here. If I get any answers, I'll let you all know.
