Angry Star Tours D23 event - FAILURE

Disney posted a dead email address for the ticket lottery.

I've been sending about every 30 seconds since the email address came up... ugh! as an IT guy, you have to TEST before you post something live like that... ugh!

i bet hella ppl did it at once, filled up thier space allowed or that they prepared, like maybe even filling up at 160, doubtful though. when ppl dont go all out on stuff like email capacity i could see this happen, i sure those lucky ppl that press enter at the exact time got in, and we didnt. i hate them.

Nope... email account setup isn't too quick on that, usually you'd just get an "email box is full" type error in that case, the address is wrong, or someone at the D23 office figured he could call the helpdesk at the last minute and have a email address setup.

OMG, I've been waiting for this since they announced it, now the email isn't working. GRRRRRRR!!!!!! There's only 160 tickets!!!! BTW, I sent my first one at about 9:23. I've tried sending about 20 by now.

I sent my first at 10:59 and it was bounced. Two attempts later were also bounced. I don't know when they started accepting emails but the previous notice said 10:00 PDT. This was not handled well.

Ugh... this is what I type between hitting resend.

Basically in an enterprise environment with multiple exchange email servers (which I'm sure Disney has), it takes at about 15 minutes for an address to propagate though the servers. So turning it on/off like that wouldn't be the best way to handle things like that.

Now I'm afraid there spam filter is going to think I'm a spammer for resending to the same bad address over and over.

see, i hate this, dont tell ppl to show up at a time and then release it early, this is why its dead. People somehow saw what to do early it seems, more then just 5 mins early, and well because im guessing disney slipped up their email is down.

Wait....So that means all the emails we already sent will eventually go through?? lol, I sound so dumb, but I'm confused.
