Red Face A great day at the park

I have to say, every once in a while I absolutely have to take time to just appreciate how much I love spending time in the parks. This has changed a lot for me since, I became an "uncle" to my best friends kids. But now 5 years later, with both a 5 y/o and a 1 y/o with me when I visit, everything has changed. I see so much of my own reactions in the eldest one when I get her gifts or she likes a show, and the baby, well...he likes the simplest stuff. There could be a parade going on and he'll just stare at the flowers, or the carvings in a banister of wood. Maybe that seems weird, but I like that about him. Anyway, the point of this thread is that despite going on the rides, and seeing WOC (which I'm in love with!), there was a point when we were sitting in Paradise Park and I realized that I hadn't spent a second of the day thinking about school, or work, or financial concerns, just complete and total relaxation and excitement. You ever have those moments in the park, when the world just seems perfect for a little while? That was my day. Just me, my best friend and her kids spending time at the resort.

I love those moments! Disneyland truly is its own little world.

That is why Walt made Disneyland so we can loose the outside world and have fun in a Fantasy world.

i agree with going with people that really live the magic to get your magic gauge back up..

when you go with someone who hasn't been in a long time, or even their first time there.. you literally get to relive everything as if it was your first time too!

That's what it is all about. Once you enter those magical gates, the rest of the world just melts away. I can travel all over the world, but Disneyland is the only place where I don't think about work. That's one of the reasons I like to go as often as I do and miss it the minute I get back to work.

That's great you had such a great day!

I have had those times on non-crowded days at the park; when it's crowded, though, all I can THINK about is stress and that one dude who pushed me.
