Talking The Haunted Mansion: More pop-up ghosts, and all scrims are lighted

Today after riding HM, I noticed that in the graveyard there were 3-5 popups working (the normal creepy face one, and then the "scream" mask looking one), I also noticed that all the scrims (well alot of them) were lighted up with the flying ghosts, OH, AND THE CRYPT GHOST WAS ON!, and then off the next time I road XD

But I know this is new because when I went on Tuesday there was only a couple scrims lighted, and only 2 popups

so yeah, just thought I would share

D: excuse my language but some ******* ruined my HM experience by taking flash pictures...IN EVERY SCENE @_@...so I yelled "no flash pictures PLEASE" in a ghost host voice...someone cheered lol...im sure you know what word I was using -_-

I remember on one experence in Haunted Mansion that was similar in the main post. Whenever it happened, I thought that the CM's were watching and actually hit that audio button for that Doombuggy. I jumped! Why? Cause I happened to be behind that buggy whenever the flash went off.

Re: The Haunted Mansion: More pop-up ghosts, and all scrims are lighted

I do find the pop-up ghosts annoying. Detracts from the scene.

I often tell people off for using flash pictures. But then telling people off disrupts the attraction more.

Re: The Haunted Mansion: More pop-up ghosts, and all scrims are lighted

I like the pop-ups, and glad to hear a good amount of them are fully functional. Now, if only some would migrate back to the attic and get the screaming sound effects again....

And I think personally, for those who dislike them, they add variety and show there are different types of ghosts...some fun, some removed and indifferent to humans, some creepy. I like that mix, the spirits inhabiting the Mansion are varied in their goals and attitudes as well as personalities. The graveyard is mostly full of the fun loving or silly sort, so a few "scaries" are welcome.

I have sort of an all-or-nothing attitude about the pop-ups and blast-ups. They should either be ubiquitous and fast, or not there at all. Having just a few slow pop-ups makes the scenes feel rather sluggish and cheap to me.

That being said, I've seen a grown man shout and leap away from one of the "slow" pop-ups just before the HHG crypt, so perhaps I've just lost my sensitivity to them.

Agreed, fast and startling is better, they should go that route if going to have them around at all.

If you wanted to see a grown man shout, leap, scream, freak, and generally lose his cookies, you shoulda seen me the first time the suit of armor lunged at me!
