    Sad Passing of Fantasmic Singer

While July 17 is typically a day of celebration for Disneyland fans, I would like to report one sad event that occurred yesterday: The passing of Jane Ethridge Correa. While Jane's name might not be familiar to most, anyone who has visited Disneyland has probably heard her sing. Jane is the featured female soloist on the Fantasmic soundtrack. She also sings the lovely duet during the show's "Princess Medley". Additionally, Jane spent some time as a DL CM performing the role of Snow White.

Jane leaves behind a husband and four children. The next time you see Fantasmic, if you can spare a thought for this wonderful performer, I know her family would appreciate it. I'm so glad that her beautiful voice will continue to delight Disneyland visitors for years to come. Godspeed, my friend.

How did she die? How old was she? Is there an obituary?

Jane passed away from Liver Failure due to complications related to Leukemia. She was only 44.

I'll keep my eyes open, but I don't think there will be an obituary for her. Like so many in the entertainment industry, Jane worked in near anonymity as a professional studio musician. In fact, I don't think she was ever credited on any Disney release of the Fantasmic soundtrack. But that's her doing all the solo female work.

In the last years of her life, she stopped working professionally and spent her time raising her family and visiting Disney Parks. She would also often be mistaken for her alter-ego, Snow White.

    She will be missed.

    Re: Passing of Fantasmic Singer

To my surprise, I was searching the Internet on my wife's name and the thread came up about her passing. Yes, Jane passed away on July 17, 2010. She died at UCLA from liver failure. I'd like to share with you a little bit about Jane. I met Jane in 1999 on my first day of orientation at Disneyland. I was being trained in "attractions" and kept noticing a fellow cast member that looked like Snow White. Well, my hunch was right. I found out she played Snow White in the park. If that wasn't enough I also found out the she was the female vocalist on Fantasmic. To make a long story short, I was working Monorails and she was on Story Book. We fell in love, got married, and had 2 children together. We would frequent the park with our children and would often catch Fantasmic and just smile knowing that my wife recorded the soundtrack. I don't know how I'll ever go back there and bare to listen to her beautiful voice. We laid her to rest today at Turner Oak Mortuary in Monrovia, Ca. Her grave site will read: Jane "Snow" Correa / 1966-2010. She was only 44. Thank you so much for the kind words and enjoying her beautiful voice.
