    Tickets and annual passes question?

I am looking for details about Disneyland's policy about trading in tickets towards annual passports. What is the time frame you have to do that , can you do it once all your days are used up on the ticket or do you have to have some portion unused?? Any information would be great!

    Thanks

If I'm not mistaken you can upgrade you ticket one the last day it expires.

So if you have a 3 Day Ticket on your 3rd day in the park you can upgrade.

You need to do it prior to the ticket "expiring". Most tickets have to be used within 2 weeks. So, to upgrade, you must be able to enter the park the day you want to upgrade to an AP. Example, if you buy a 3 day ticket, you need to upgrade prior to the ticket expiring on the 3rd use. You could upgrade on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd visit, but you cannot upgrade the day after the 3rd visit.

When you upgrade they will date it for the first time you used the ticket. We have waited a while before and they just back date it.

The ticket was still valid when we upgraded, but they did back date it a about a month to the first time it was used.

    I assume you mean a multi-day ticket?

The policy, as I understand it, is that the ticket you have must still be valid. So if you use it toward an AP it must be during one of the days it is valid. When there are no more days on it, it can not be used toward an upgrade.

If it is a one-day ticket, the upgrade must be done the same day that the ticket is used.

This may have changed, but years back when I bought a one day ticket I was told I could come back and upgrade tit o a pass. I forget the time frame provided. The CM said they would date the pass for the date I used the ticket.

Must upgrade the same day it's used. That's why the booths stay open until park closes and the AP center in DL stays open until an hour after park closes, because near the end of the night people start to decide to upgrade before its too late.
