Hello my fellow Disneylanders. Here are a few updates from July 24th.


The Disney Gallery

First of all, they have plenty of the green and white Mad Hatter Tea Party cups. Pleeeeeeeenty. So you still have time. Disneyland likes to sell out daily and restock the next day. So there is hope.

I don't know why I did not notice this before but last week I reported on the the Tomorrowland Cast Member piece by Kevin Kidney and it looks the edition size and now shrunk from 500 to 499! It seems someone broke off this guys little arm! He looks so sad. That was the arm he waved with

Star Tours

Star Tours was curious tonight. At 11:30pm the queue was still full so people are definitely getting their fix in. Even the extra queue was open but was unused.

Im so mad cause they are probably getting rid of all Mon Calamari since they're mainly notorious for the battle of Endor. Raawwrrrr!!

Also tonight was the last night Cast Members could ride the ride from 12-1AM so I had a very surreal moment since I was on the last flight of the night. The moment the doors opened for the next flood of passengers to board, in came cast members from all over the park in there uniforms. It was hilarious. From Main Street attire to Fanatasyland. Only in Disneyland


Disneyland: From Once Upon A Time To Happily Ever After

A new book appeared in Disneyanna titled "Disneyland: From Once Upon A Time To Happily Ever After". I definitely recommend it. Its full of side by side comparisons of how locations in the park have changed thru out the years. Every page is a comparison. And several of them have Walt in the photos of past comparisons. It's so cool! Anyways, I love it. Definitely check it out the next time you are perusing Disneyanna

Pal Box

Another Disneyanna goodie I picked up was my very own Mickey Mouse Club "Pal Box". Uhh, yeah, just go with it. Anyways, I love it super duperly but I was surprised to see that the bottom of the box has faces of 2 Mousketeers. So every time I put it on my desk, I'm squishing their faces! I hope this thing is durable otherwise the term "I'm gonna wipe that smile off your face" won't be a figure of speech anymore.

This photo really got my attention. When the doors are open I usually like to step in and take a look. I'm fascinated by the old Adventures Thru Inner Space attraction and like visualizing how it was in this room back then. My belief was that during those days this room was a bit longer and extended into the space where the Star Wars portion of Star Trader is now located. However, seeing this photo is a great example of how cameras can make rooms appear to have greater depth than they really do. The space in this photo appears to show about the same distance that old photos of ATIS showed. So perhaps I'm wrong about my previous idea and this room has always been kept roughly about this size.

Anyway, I don't mean to hijack... I just love that shot. Thanks again for the great report!

Great shots! And yay, lamp shots! I love pictures of Disney lighting fixtures, they always have great theming.

Dude, that book looks AWESOME! Next time I stop by at Disneyland, I'm definitely picking it up. Before/After things are so interesting and it looks well done.

Absolutely. There are some old Disneyland construction photos that were used to compare the old to the new that I have never seen before and I have seen a lot. Plus some excellent rare full page photos of Walt. I really enjoy it.

Someone had asked if they have the ceramic pop corn bag and they do. Lots.
